DVD idea

I can't put my finger on it, but the sun seems brighter, the air smells cleaner, like some spring cleaning has been done...

Anywhoo, a while back I posted an idea for a DVD that I am not sure any band has ever done. If I am mistaken, please tell me.

I would love to see Journey come out with a DVD with live performances from each album, so we could see how they have progressed over the past 30 years. Three or four songs from each album would be great. Do you think they even have footage from each tour? I think something like this would be as good or better than the Houston DVD. Thoughts?

No Perry vs. Augie BS please.

 NIG, there's actually 2 DVDs I'd like to see released...

1. Rolie era (1978-1980)

2. Current lineup (NEW and rare classic material, including TBF songs)

I think it's a great idea NiG, but the whole dynamics of getting it done could be tough.
The Houston DVD...which is AMAZING...was basically, from what I understand, done by Perry with Journey's blessing.
Personally, I'd love to see the DVD you're speaking of. Any thoughts as to whether personal conflicts among the powers that be would stall the project?

I would definitely purchase it. I wish the GH DVD was done in chrono order instead of all mixed up with WYLAW right smack dab in the middle.

This would be great
I would love to see them from begining
to end bits and pieces of concerts from every
CD or tour.....good idea

Wonderful idea NealIsGod! I would purchase it also. What a great way to see the "Evolution" of Journey.

Think about it. For the true Journey fan, this dvd would be a collectors item.

Journey On!

Ok. Leaving now. Can you promise to bail me out after I strangle Grandpa?

Look, nice idea. But it isn't happening.

The Dallas DVD, which I still think won't see the light of day, has to wait for 1 year after Houston, to even be allowed to sell. I think your idea is good, but I think the chance of Perry returning is better.

We know you think Perry is returning. I don't. Andrew doesn't. I am sure Neal and Jon don't, either. Perry has no interest in touring. Sure, a one shot deal with a short tour would be great for Perry. But that would mean the end of Journey. Why would you want that?

Hey, Ilove Andrew as much as anyone. hey if I were a choad smoker I would....aw, nevermind

Seriously, Andrew isn't God you know? I DO think he will come back.

Why would I want that? You have to ask?

You know, today I am feeling a little anxious. I am ready to really talk it up. Shall we?

I have no desire for a Perry fronted Journey anymore. TBF sucked, and anything they do together now would suck worse. A new CD with Augie singing all but one or two tunes is what I want. Maybe in 2007.

Alright. I am done with you guys. You have to know...just have to, that Augeri can't carry a fucking tune anylonger. Goddammit, NIGGY, I sent you discs...what can't you hear? I told you, I could do better.

Seriously, I would bet you my left nut, Neal would take Perry back in a second.

I don't think TBF sucked, I like most of the album. The rest of your statement I agree with :)

Ok, all 3 of you...Why don't you start up a coalition against RnD.

Call it whatever you want, and do it with whomever you want. Hell, call your gang TARD; for Three Against Rockn Deano. I can handle all three of you, especially the female of the group.

"our stone" is definetely cracked now. Go ahead lula, join em! I am on a island.

maybe I will join the Loons.

You are all half baked if you wouldn't take back a legend, and replace Augeri

LOL, you're funny Deano
Handle me? Please.... don't think so  .
I actually agree with many things NIG has to say. As for taking back Perry- not interested. Maybe after he did some solo work to let us hear his voice and his current writing ability I'd be open to the idea. I'm a huge fan of Journey, you know that. You also know I went all out on the 2005 tour, seeing many shows- almost all of which were fantastic. Best we don't delve to deep here, we know what will happen

Now be nice!

No problem Lula. Anyway You Want It. remember this next time. I will remind you of it. Bet your Heineken on it.

Be careful Lula; tread lightly here. You know exactly what I am talking about.

Join TARD; see if I care. I am not buying beers next time.

Hope the Queens get throttled tonight in Alberta.

Ooh, you cannot mean that about my Kings! Come on, they are a good team. We have gone off topic..... in all honesty I do not know what you are referring to, but we can discuss it in a PM.

Your Kings? Thay play like Queens, and why do you have the Mighty Ducks in your avatar now!

You don't know what I am referring to..oh, ok

Deano, just because you say I cannot like both teams does not make it law. Kings are my number one, Ducks number two, so be it! No surprise we do not see eye to eye on Journey, best to leave it alone, or.....

A DVD like that would be such a treat! They could call it "Timeless".
How many tracks should be on this DVD?Which songs would represent better each era?
I am curious...Anyone cares writing down a list of the videos that should make it on the dvd?

TBF did NOT suck at all. I love that c.d.

TBF has some great moments surrounded by some really weak ballady stuff. Here is the deal, Perry cannot sing hard anymore so they recorded material that best suited Perry's voice. And it was very good to do. Perry did a knock out job with that material.

The problem with TBF is that is not the type of material I want from Journey. And that is why I favor Steve over Perry now. He can sing the way I want Journey to sound. Perry cannot. But Perry could still sing very well on the material I do not want to hear! ;)

Wow. Hard to keep a thread from turning into Perry vs. Augie, even when you tell people not to in the first post. Why does it happen every time?

Sorry if that was directed at me. I was trying to talk about TBF and did not mean to compare the singers...
