A little light hearted thread, folks. Feel free to include solo Perry, Schon, Cain, the Storm, Hardline, Soul Sirkus, etc. otherwise this will get tedious.

I'll start.

I'M GONNA LEAVE YOU  :(

"With Your Love"

While some feel it is really apropos for the occassion, this song comes off totally factitous to me. At least you felt Perry believed in the saccharine lyrics he was delivering, this comes off as paint-by-numbers balladry at it's worst.
Any other Journey ballad besides this one would probably fit the matrimony ticket just fine.

Though I imagine the substance-abuse themed "walking away from the edge" would be a real mood-killer, as "Live and Breathe" would have similar disastraous resullts...causing guests faces to plummet into their wedding cake from sheer boredom.

Guilty of WYL, TNC. Now feel free to post your most foppish Estrada pic in my mockery. Hey, the DJ had Arrival, though. He knew it was a single and he knew HP and ATW.

Most of Raised On Radio, think about it..

IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU
ONCE YOU LOVE SOMEBODY
GIRL CAN'T HELP IT
I'LL BE ALRIGHT WITHOUT YOU
and perhaps most tellingly...
BE GOOD TO YOURSELF!

Homemade love

The euphamism of "Jelly Roll Sweetie" is just too much LOL.

I used to think he said "genuine sweetie" -- I was so naive....

Oh, heck here's another one, more directed towards jealous ex-lovers:

STAND UP (BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE)

You Better Wait.
If it's a young girl getting married to an old fart.

Little Girl would fit that category too.

How about "now you're on your own."

Nah, I used it. There's nothing wrong with WYL. Great song. Saccharine? Yup. Paint by numbers ballad? Yup. And it's awesome.

There isn't?
Then what do you call these? - positive attributes of a song?.....

Uhh...don't look now, dude, but I'm afraid you just did my work for me.
