Dallas DVD

Journey recorded the Dallas concert last year for video release. There was a ton of hoopla over at BT about "dancers" being broght in to make it look like a bunch of hot young girls were attending the concert. They even pushed ticket holders back from the stage to replace the middle aged average fan with young women.

Any post regarding this event was deleted and people were told to privately e-mail moderators with complaints. The truth was too harsh to be on the public boards of BT.

From what I am hearing, there might not be enough "good footage" to release the thing. I read this as "Augeri's voice was it's average self again", and they would be embarassed to release it. Not enough good footage? We live in the age of digital video and audio. If they did not get enough good footage, the production crew should be black balled.

I personally think all this is fairly funny and expected. But, I am a Perry fan - well, pre 1983 anyway...

Post production could fix any of those problems easily.
Why do you think he sounds so good on "Arrival" and "Generations"?
You think his voice actually sounds that strong in concert?
Pffft...not hardly.
Nice fella though!

Could be said of anybody, yet you harp on this about Augeri.

Umm...well this is the Journey board and the singer of Journey is Steve Augeri.
Is their someone else fronting Journey that I don't know about?

I know where the hell I am without your lectures. What soundboard recorded bootlegs have you heard of Augeri that you're impugning his live singing abilities based on?

A 2 sentence post now amounts to a lecture?
Oooooohkay
I guess for an illiterate potato eating simpleton like yourself it must feel that way.

All of them.
I have been collecting live Augeri bootlegs starting in 2000 back when I was using the nowd efunct audio galaxy downloading program.
Every year he doesn't make the grade.
Though he does do a decent rendition of "Lights".

Actually, those threads were left up for quite a while. There was PLENTY of complaining about the treatment of the real fans at that show.

I have not seen that ANYWHERE on Back Talk except for where I SAID IT! It is not a wiidely held belief among the BT Faithful.

You can read it how ever you want. But I agree that this would be a "cover-up" excuse. Which was my point to begin with. That is the excuse with the Warfield DVD. I feel they might use it again. But it would not make sense since the band put so much "effort" into this show. Warfield was a great night that they happen to be filming but Dallas was a planned DVD shoot. Yes, it should have gone well. But of course, the excuse right now is that Journey cannot release the DVD until November because of "contractual obligations" concerning the Houston DVD!! Notice they won't say the DVD is "in the can" and waiting to be released...

Here's my prediction:

They'll release it in time for the tour....

and, it will be given away free to those who pay hundreds of dollars for the five star packages.
