More like very wealthy, retired, wipes his ass with $100 bills, has amassed a fortune from which we wish we could siphon just 3% and be set for life.

I don't know what to believe.
The_Noble_Cause wrote:Whatever the case may be, the fact that Herbie had to cover the expenses for Perry to come out to discuss Journey shows me that Perry was certainly in dire financial straits.
The_Noble_Cause wrote:Not as ridiculous as you imploring Herbie to start "[saying] something of interest".
Aside from Herbie, NOBODY even tenuously connected to the Journey camp EVER says anything of interest.
Firstly, you're lucky if one of the guys even talks at all, and even then, when they do, it is usually pre-vetted santized PR pap.
mnmsjrny wrote:Don't forget they've all signed non-disclosure agreements -- there's stuff they *can't* talk about. Herbie didn't sign anything, so he can say what he wants. Is everything he says pure gospel? No, it's Journey as he recollects it. Is there more truth to what he says than someone else? Possibly since he doesn't have to abide by any legal agreements, but he's still going to put himself in the best light possible. Just as any one else would.
I don't know that I'd want to sit down and have a chat with Herbie about his view of/experiences with Journey. I have *very* few illusions about the guys by now, but I'd rather not totally lose what illusions are left. Sometimes, it's best to pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

If it's MY character that is soo weak, then how come you are the one obviously smarting from being called the innocuous term of "sanctimonious phony".
C'mon, this is largely G-rated family stuff.
