I Have an Idea

An idea that will definetely fall on deaf ears. It's an idea of what an active manager should do.

I found myself watching a Shania Twain concert, and of course couldn't shut it off...have you seen her body? Her face? Her ass? Ok then, you know what I am speaking of.

So, I brought up a idea awhile ago; a duet with our fearless, no nonsense lead singer, Mr. Awesome and a beautiful girl; I used Andrea Corr for my idea. People thought fairly highly of my idea. Azoff probably fell asleep when he read my post. That old fart is a worthless bag of antelope shit. Anyways, my brain was in a working mode tonight (depending on which brain you are thinking of), and I thought up this.

In the Las Vegas 2001 DVD, Neal Schon, you all know Neal, right? Well, Neal did a guitar solo after Stone in Love, as customary, and it was none other than Shania Twains' From this Moment, a beautiful love song. Taking a page from Santana, I think Neal should take his guitar and sit down with Shania and record a song. Now she has been off for two years, popping out kids, and is ready to return. What Augeri can't do, Neal could. I can see a beautiful voice and an equally pairing guitar sound to go along with her velvet voice. If they recorded a catchy, melodic mid tempo song, it would for sure get then a top 5 song. She is one of the biggest stars in music, and he would get Journey some ink.

Her husband, Mutt Lange, perhaps the best producer in music, could produce it. I can almost guarantee a number one song.

Of course, we know a motivated way of thinking is not in this bands' arsenal, or thought process.

I just thought it would be a major boost to press and PR.

Neal, if this doesn't motivate you, NOTHING will

No, you can't untie those bikini panties. I tried already.

Ok, I am with you on the idea of the song. In fact, I think it is actually one of your better ideas. It did work for Santana and Michelle Branch.

Nice work, Dean.

Nice pictures,Dean.
...And an interesting idea.
Maybe Journey (Neal) should invite Shania to perform one of their ballads during their summer tour. Then one thing will lead to another, and Neal could have a talk with Mutt and plan something for the fall.

I am tellin ya, Shania loves Journey. She is married to Mutt, who is friends with BA, who is friends with Neal. It just comes full circle.

If she were to ever go to a Journey show, you would see the fastest 6'3" fat white Canadian going over the boards into the backstage area. I would be like wildfire..NOTHING would stop me...no man, men or bullet. I would have to meet her.

I'm sure you would get to her if you really want to. :D
Shania may love Journey, but the idea has to come from Neal. Not through management and such.Personally from Neal.I have a feeling Mutt Lange would be interested.

Huge Mutt Lange fan that I am, I think this is a great idea... I would wait in line at the Wal Mart at 12am the day that bad boy gets released.

I also agree it would be a hit.

I think a lot of it is quite good. Hell, she has some rock songs mixed with some fiddles.

Besides, her looks make her music sound better.

Every single one of those damned songs is a Def Leppard song with feminized lyrics and a fiddle or two thrown in.

Seriously...Listen to "Honey I'm Home" and tell me that with different words that isnt a Hysteria B-side.

I've always found it funny. Mutt Lange has his signature sound, for sure.

As for the idea...Deano, I like it. But not with Schon...do it with the whole band, Augeri singing...release it from both ends, Shania Twain featuring Journey and Journey featuring Shania Twain...and aim for the fences.

Bring it on, i say!!

I actually like her music too, yeah ok you can describe it as disposable music, but c'mon...Shania's lyrics are clearly written with tongue firmly in cheek!

Big j does have a point tho...you can sing the lyrics of Def Lep's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" over the instrumental of Twain's "Honey I'm Home" and not even go out of time!

We watched her last night looking for the def leppard reference. It is clearly evident. You can see B Adams and DL in a lot of her stuff. Basically, you see Mutt.

Why ruin it? He can't sing with her...not even in the same league.

Very true!First time when I heard her song,I immediately thought of DL!
Funny! It`s such a weird combo between DL and pure country!

I was reffering to the chorus of "Honey,I`m home".That`s country.
But,yes,Shania changed the meaning of "country".And the image of it,too!

Good question. Well I don't live in the states so I never got to see this guy perform LIVE apart from the 2001 DVD. I think his vocals are average at best on that DVD. I love Arrival though.

I just think he's well over rated, thats all. He's a great singer sure, but to me sounds like anyone else.

Overrated? He sucks. He can't sing anylonger. But according to CERTAIN Backtalkers, I am on crack.

Why are you ruining my thread with a gifted, talented woman with Augeri nonsense?
