Did you all see today they are going to propose that the National Anthem be sung in Spanish as well as English?

Oh it's not just that. They had a bunch of "famous" Latin performers record it, We are the World style...and there's an English "breakdown" verse in the middle, talking about how mean the gov't is and how "we can't help it where we were born".
And it's being released as a pop single to Spanish-language radio.
I've heard part of it. Absolute bullshit. Enraging.
You know, if we took the Mexican national anthem, rerecorded it in English, and included verses about how mariachi music blaring at 2 am is annoying and taco truck food tastes like shit, we'd be branded racists.
Although "La Cucaracha" has a pretty tough beat to wrap lyrics around, it'd take some doing to rewrite it anyway.
--Edit, also, I'm sure you know this, but FSK didnt write the song, he wrote the poem. The tune's an old Irish drinking song.
