This will be the last tour with Augeri. It's obvious why.

After he's gone they'll ask Perry to come back for a reunion tour much like Asia is doing in Sepetember. Perry will say no. Then Kalodner will get on his knees and beg him. He'll still say no. Thus ends the Journey story.

Yeah I do. But according to a few on here, I have lost my marbles. I just hope this doesn't bite Neal and Jon in the ass. I am afraid it's going to however.

Well, you may have lost your marbles. But it seems you are able to see through the BS fog that most put out there about how great Augeri sounds.

I agree that this is a worn out topic. But maybe it needs to be said again that Augeri's voice was never well suited for Journey's songs and now his voice is just plain disgusting when he tries to cover Journey.

But I don't have each boot from last year so I can't comment. Right?

Augeri is constantly called a Perry clone by many. So how is his voice not suited for Journey? And if you feel this way, then why do you care to be on a Journey board? Not saying you shouldn't be, just wondering why?

Fair questions.

1. All you have to do is listen to his voice. Never did much sound like Perry's. And now it's awful even with all the computers it goes through.

2. I've been staying here because I thought there was a tiny chance Perry would come back. Seems totally improbable now so maybe I have no reason to be here.

3. It's kinda like a registered democrat who never votes democrat any more. He stays democrat because that's how he grew up. Well, I grew up with Journey. Still holding out hope where there is none I guess.

Good questions you asked.

I have called Augeri "Imposter Steve" for years
but I have softened to him and respect that he is
at least given an effort to the band.
Personally I think Perry just lost the taste for it all.

But I am curious as to why Free thinks that Augeri
will not continue on with Journey.
Enlighten me please because I see no reason why
he wouldn't go on with them.

Although I'm convinced that a Journey Reunion Tour with Perry would be the best last move this band could make, I am afraid that Kalodner would have to do something more while he is on his knees. However, I do believe that even after that, Perry will pull up his zipper and say: "Great, but no thanks."
I hope I’m wrong.

By the zipper comment, you are saying Perry would f**k them over again? Probably right.

So you guys would prefer a limited "goodbye Journey" tour with Perry over keeping the current lineup? I just don't get it.

I really don't think Perry would do that.He must be wiser than he was in 1996.If he says Yes,he will do it.

Unfortunately, the signs show that Journey won't last too much as it is.
Every band has to hit the sack at one point. So why not make a retirement to remember?

You're wrong. As long as they have such HUGE success with touring, they'll tour.

After he's gone they'll ask Perry to come back for a reunion tour

You're wrong. They have said FOR YEARS that Perry can come back when ever he wants...that is NOT something 'new'.

much like Asia is doing in Sepetember

Yeah, performing to smallish venues...perfect example, LOL.

Perry will say no.

Of course...and the band KNOWS it...

Then Kalodner will get on his knees and beg him.

LOL...why should he care if they tour? He's only going to care if they release an album ON HIS LABEL, which is no longer Sony.

Even if it is true and Augeri lip synchs all the songs...that is NOT going to stop them from touring. A year from now, we'll be talking about the next tour.

You used to make sense monker. I'm surprised at your response here.

Your last comment is probably the most foolish response from you that I've ever seen.

You say that even if it is true that Augeri is lipping all the songs that it will not stop them from touring.

Do you realize how foolish that statement is??? If word gets out that he is lipping the songs people will STOP paying to see them. Hence, no more tours.

And, this board used to make sense. Going on and on about Augeri lip synching concerts is the most assinine thing I have seen here. NONE of it makes sense and yet people are claiming it is true...They talked to 'contacts' and it's all true...and blah, blah, blah...all without any shred of ANY revealing evidence to back up their claims. It's all smoke and mirrors and exagerations.

You say that even if it is true that Augeri is lipping all the songs that it will not stop them from touring.

What will 'stop' them from touring is venues not booking them cuz people are not buying tickets. Nobody is believing this bullshit about lip-synching concert - even if it is true.

Do you realize how foolish that statement is???

Do you foolish it is to believe that Journey is lip-synching concerts?

It ain't gonna happen - cuz it's BS.

With all due respect, you are misrepresenting what I said again.

"Free's out there on this one." What???

How many times do I have to tell you that everything is predicated on IF this lippn thing was going on.

I'll say it a few times for you monker. IF. IF. IF. IF.

I'm not gonna tell you what I know about this because I don't wanna get sued.

By the way, why in the h--- do I even care about this?

Yes. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. So now I will.

I meant if Perry came back and they toured it would be similar to what Asia is doing in September. All for original Asia memebers. I know it wouldn't be the originaly Journey members but it's the line up when they were most popular.
