Do you realize we have had 13 closed threads since Andrew re-opened the board? The bright side appears to be that Andrew is not looking to close the board!!

Hmm, if it continues though I reckon he could very well say enough is enough...how many frickin' warnings does it take?

True, but it deserves to be closed because "we've" violated and flaunted just about every single rule he reiterated after the last nuclear saturday shutdown.
The life's been sucked out by tapegate anyway.

Well, the man said to "move on" and it wasn't happening.

Here's to a wonderful summer of music with Journey!

Yup, gonna be seeing the boys on Saturday at the Monsters Of Rock Festival here in the UK, really looking forward to the day!

Hey Paul_UK - let us know how the show is. Perhaps a mini review?

I will be seeing them in July. Looking forward to a great show!

I know why he shut some threads and I understand the reason. Some here may know and some may not, but it is for Him to explain, not I.

The discussion last week was healthy. It was sure passionate on both sides to be sure. I would like to take full repsponsibility and take all the blame, but it isn't that easy.

That topic will surely come round again. I wish personally he would comment on it, but understand why he didn't or cannot. That is unfortunate. If he had, this place would be abuzz with traffic.

The life is sucked out right now, but hopefully, will return. maybe we need a week or so of healing, or coming together. No, I did not take fag pills this morning, but perhaps a look a like thread, or a Gay thread is due? Those are always instant classics. See, no other forum can rival us. Styx, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, all way below this board. They are boring as all shit.

Will do indeed! I believe that there's an expected crowd of 25,000 people, so the atmosphere should be electric! I suspect Journey will play a 45 minute set of mainly hits, as that's usually the agenda on these things as its a neutral crowd.

For the record, also on the bill is Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Queensryche, Thunder and Ted Nugent!

Paul I hope you have a blast!
If Queensryche does the song
Silent Lucidity think of me it's my fave.
Have fun and toss a pint for me fella.

It becomes frustrating contributing to this forum. I had valid comments and the door was closed. There was a post regarding other groups who had performed with Journey (since 98).

Night Ranger
Frampton
Fabulous T-Birds
Quicksilver
Waite
Hagar
Styx
REO
Yes
Molly Hatchett
Eddie Money
Outfield
A forgettable Irish pub-band with a political agenda

VH1C is to air the Houston Concert this Friday & Saturday.

Insignificant news for most, but definitely off-track.

Oh man, i love that track too! In fact i think it was the only top 20 hit the band actually had here in the UK, so i would have thought it'll definately be in the setlist!

Will deffo sink a pint or two for you, Beamer!!!

Exactly. There is no point even having a moderator if he doesn't follow through on the consequences for breaking HIS rules. What incentive does anybody here have to stay in line while those who are CONSTANTLY given second chances continue to cross the line. And, for the record, I am not talking just about RND. The rules are meaningless and the threats of 'no more chances' are meaningless because they are very raerly followed up with a consequence.

IMO, this forum should be closed for a while...maybe permanently...because people simply do not understand that there are consequences for their actions.

Even now, days after Andrew tells the forum to stop making new threads about the tapes, people STILL insist on doing it, or stealing other threads to talk about it. He tells people 'no more personal attacks', and people are still doing it. He tells people they are close to a vacation, and instead of calming down - they get worse.

Andrew has no authority because, IMO, some here simply do not take it seriously, or do not care if they are kicked off, or the forum is shut down.

Go fuck yourself, Monker.

How's that for a violation? That, IMO, was worth it.

Andrew doesn't want people to tell him how to operate HIS board.

This board is the talk of all rock n roll boards. I have seen first hand, 7 other sites. The Topic: MR is on fire. A good site, with honest opinion. If that isn't a compliment, then I don't what is.

By the way, are you ever going to contribute again, or just whine all the time? Pussy

You must have an eternal get out of jail free card to do this when peace is reigning today.
Monker weighed in w/ an opinion, something you do from time to time.

Yeah, but he is telling Wombat King what he should be doing on HIS Board. Monker sucks ass nowadays. he used to be brilliant, now just smells like dog shit.

Fine. Think about another thing Andrew said at "the new beginning." Not to drive people away. If he's brilliant, wouldn't you like to more posts outa him?

Sure, but he hasn't contributed anything in eons. Something is misfiring in his dome.

i have nothing but praise for the way in which he is handling this board. he might not be here all of the time and he might not agree with what is being written down but he is allowing you to have your voice and speak your mind. sure he doesn't always chastise or ban a person from the forum for speaking their mind but i think he realizes there is a thin line between censorship and freedom of speech apparently he is a believer of the choice to speak of what you believe. how many sites can say that? people here push the man to the limit with their verbage and arguments and posturing and up one manship to the point of his having to appear to be riding the fence but at least he's doing that and not hiding behind the curtain of fear of being shunned by those who help keep the site involved in the business of rock.

Yeah, I know. You always have to talk big. Doesn't bother me.

Andrew doesn't want people to tell him how to operate HIS board.

You know, you should really stop kissing Andrew's ass while reaching with the other hand to yank off the forum. It doesn't become you very well at all.

By the way, are you ever going to contribute again, or just whine all the time? Pussy

I speak my piece. But, talking in gay threads, or lookalike threads, or hottie threads, or 'what has so-and-so done to piss of the forum this time' threads, isn't my thing. If I want to talk about shit totaly unrelated to Journey I can go to BT and post in a McJourney's thread. It's really no different to me.

Oh ok dad.

Fuckin blowhard.

Kiss Andrews' ass? I have told him to go F himself and to kiss my ass. Respect is different than asskissing.

Monker, just go run into a knife or something.

That's not my point.

My point is, what kinda authority does a moderator have if he says, "No more second chances, or else...", and you do it over and over again anyway and nothing happens? Why should I, or anybody else, take seriously his 'rules' or respect the forum any more then I would respect a Usenet newsgroup?
