Looking for predictions

I'd like for everyone to weigh in on this one.

How much longer will Journey be together?

Not a right or wrong answer obviously since most of us have no inside info. Just curious what you all think.

Fair question. they are 55 yrs old.

I would say it depends on THIS TOUR.

That's really him, Val. His thirty-one years have weighed heavily on him.

Who knows? Even though the current lineup is not my favorite incarnation of this band, I would hate to see them no longer playing. I think that has more to do with the fact that I'm not ready to give up my youth which is when I first fell in love with their sound. For some reason it seems that if they are no longer together than it will mean that I'm old. I know that probably doesn't make sense to anyone but me. :?

Val, how dare you question or even ask who that god is.

The god of College football coaching, a living legend.

None other than Joe Paterno. His players actually go to class, and graduate.

I believe that at this point Journey’s survival depends on two people. One is Neal. He could put an end to everything tomorrow.Or he could go on until Journey fades away naturally and that will be in a few years.Let’s remember they aren’t getting younger.
The other one is Perry. With the original singer returning, the band would get tremendous attention and sales (tickets or a reunion CD,whatever).
To sum this up…With Neal keeping everything as it is,Journey gets a few more years.Slow death.
With Perry returning,Journey gets a dazzling revival then dies in glory.
Just my thoughts...Nothing serious.

If you aren't stating truth you are very close to it.

When Perry returns next year as a solo artist, that too can be a wild card for Journey.

I would think it can go both ways. If Perry sounds good, real good, Journey might just the Hell with it..or neal might reunite the band, and if perry sounds just ok, Journey might ramp it up some more.

The "truth" as YOU want to hear it. You throw that word "truth" around so much in your posts about the only way being to go back to perry it's like...amazing.

It's like when someone says, "To be honest with you...", you know a lie is about to come out of their mouth.

Three of them are, but it's the younger members who struggle to keep up the pace.

80 shows last year, many 3+ hours, pretty grueling.

I'd say another 5 years. We'll get a few more tours and one, maybe two more studio albums out of them. I think the big farewell will be with Perry, no question. No new album with Perry though. 2 more Augeri albums, three more Augeri tours, a Perry tour, then off to the links.

No wars intended.

This is Augeri's very last tour, period.

Take it to the bank.

It will go on as long as Neal can keep Cain on the road. None of them have any source of income that could generate more $$ than whatever they make using the Journey name. They will run that greatest hits act into the ground, nomatter what. Neal has a young wife and 2 little kids. He aint' retiring the Journey name any time soon. Look for yet another singer in the next couple years. If the tapes continue to work out for them, maybe Augeri will just stick around longer. It's not like he has anything else better to go to either. Perry isn't coming back to Journey. He would probably rather get his OTHER hip replaced than spend his time trying to keep Neal's head out of his ass.

Nope. Disagree. He'll be stronger this year after a long winter's break and with shorter sets (and I still think he sounded great when I saw him and heard him last year).
Hell, you even said yourself, you'll GIVE him until this tour to (paraphrase) straighten out.

He Wants out. He wants to go back to his family.

If they pull this shit this year, they better hope I don't get any boots.

I don't think they pulled "this shit" last year, but that's talked out. I'll be at least 1 show (1 if not both of the Borgatas and maybe Camden). And i'll be kicking over the usual rocks for boots.

I'll need to go through third party to get some. No one will give me any.

Why do you want them? I can't figure you out. I guess you are still a fan of the current lineup.
