Guitar Riff from Journey Song

I have been listening to a song by 3 Doors Down entitled Let Me Go. During the chorus there is a guitar riff that I swear reminds me of a Journey song but I can't think of which one. My thought is leaning towards a song on the Trial by Fire cd. You guys are good at this stuff and if you listen to the song you will hear the riff I'm referring to.

Help! I've been going through the song titles on the TBF cd but can't pin point the song with the similarities - but thinking it might be One More. Unfortunately I can't play the cd here at work 'cuz my computer does not have any speakers.

Really???

I listen to it all the time! I think it is ONE of their best Cd's that they did together. The writing skills of Perry, Schon, & Cain are exceptional & topped off with Perry's EXCEPTIONAL voice, & Neal's GREAT guitar playing, & the rest of those GREAT talented guys, it is an EXCELLENT CD in my opinion.

I think most of the songs are lousy and Perry's voice is bad.

Oh Come On NIG, You know Perry's voice DOESN'T sound bad & the songs were NOT lousy either. They couldn't have gotten nominated for a Grammy Award for the song WYLAW, if that were really true.

Oh, so now everyone has to share your opinion? MY opinion is that it sucked the big one. Which is the main reason Perry can stay retired for all I care.

Terrible Pacing. At least there wasn't a Fucking fireworks track at the end SHIRLEY!

Too many bland mature new agey songs....and the best song was left off for the import.....

No NIG, I don't expect you to share my opinion that Perry/Journey years were a GREAT band, any more than I'm sure you would expect me to feel "like you do" about Augeri/Journey.

I could respond with something mean & spiteful NIG , but I'll leave it nice for the sake of the board.

Why are you getting huffy? I didn't insult you. I just said I think TBF sucks. What do you care?

The only song from TBF that comes in my mind is "One More".But I can't say those riffs are similar. Maybe the songs have a common "feeling".
Btw,"Let Me Go" is a very cool song, love it!

I'm not sure if it is on the song One More - but it is the song I first thought of when I heard the guitar riff in Let Me Go by 3 Doors Down.

If you can listen to Let Me Go first this particular guitar part is played consistantly in the chorus. The very first time I heard it I thought it came right from a Journey song. Next time it comes on I'll try to get more specifics.
