Ok,
So the forum is open.

But where to from here?
I personally no longer believe that Journey fans have the patience, intelligence and general respect for others to keep this forum open.

I hope to be proved wrong, but I can’t see it lasting – not on the back of what I hav witnessed here over the past month or so.

Now – a few notes. And for the VERY last time I will ask –

I am all for freedom of speech and an open forum. I do NOT and have NOT asked that any form of topic of debate be stopped/closed.
I will not do that now – I believe that open debate be allowed, but I also ask that the two sides that fight each other endlessly ask themselves whether this is all worth it and do you think that you could have A LITTLE respect for MY forum.

I have been abused for leaving the forum OPEN and I have been abused for CLOSING it. Why the hell would ANYONE else actually want to prove you buffoons with a place to post??

Let’s just see….

And I ask you remember this – there was a Journey BEFORE Steve Perry and there is one still AFTER Steve Perry.
That said, NO ONE disputes what Perry bought to this band and the majority of the songs still wanting to be heard by fans are Perry era tunes.

SO MOVE ON!

1) NO personal attacks. Any will be removed and topics will be locked if it becomes an all-in when I’m not looking.

2) Those that do not respect my SIMPLE requests will be tossed out. I can’t put it any simpler than that.
I will send anyone not respecting the forum or other users on a week long holiday. Second time they screw up it will be bye bye and should that user re-register under a new ID, I will BAN their IP addresses so you can’t even READ the forum.

3) DO NOT BOTHER ME with complaints and winging and e-mails and PMs complaining about other users. THAT gets up my goat as much as the person causing the trouble in the first place.
Legitimate issues and/or questions by all means…but no more high-school dobbing on others.

Now – most importantly – more tolerance will be given to the folks who I know on this board. Those that have been here since day 1 and those I KNOW the identities of.
Newbies arriving to hurl mud or complain about others will not be appreciated.
Those that join to stimulate MATURE, welcomed conversations will most definitely be appreciated.

Have I forgotten anything?

Just remember – NO OTHER forum has EVER been closed, yet the Journey one has been closed 3 times.

This is the LAST call folks. Respect the forum and give me something to smile about.

Right back to padlock city. A matter of how long is all. Andrew, people (and I hope I am not among this number and hope I have not been in the past) will continue to defy and scoff at your requests.

Pleased the board ie open and sorry you have been given a hard time of the Journey debate.By all accounts the lawyers are watching and there should be an end of sorts to this drama,lets hope so anyway.

How about a little clarification that not all Journey forum visitors are buffoons? Many of us have never been warned or chastised by you about anything, Andrew. My money says all three closures were the direct result of a few shit stirrers.

I know nothing's 100%, but having said that I agree that there would at least be a small chance you'd know of monitoring since it's your place. I'm thrilled to leave this topic in the rearview.

Oh that she is!! I actually met her in London on the "Up" Tour when she was doing a signing in Harrods...she's not only beautiful, but such a warm giving nature too, lovely girl!!
