Now that Andrew has had his say, MAY WE PLEASE HAVE THIS FORUM BACK?

By the way, please don't add any "I told you so's" to this thread. There are many that really don't care and just want to enjoy the music without being falsely accused of personal and insulting vendetta's against anyone and/or making phone calls that they never made.

If you don't enjoy the music - don't listen. If you don't care for this band, start your own band bashing forum.

And for the love of anything holy, please do not tell me who I should and should not listen to, or where I should and should not spend my money because you disagree with anything that Journey does or does not do in concert, because you feel your values are higher than mine.

I don't care.

Peace to all and have a great day!

I just found my lost copy of Dream After Dream (under a stack of papers). I will be enjoying the music soon - as soon as I get my lazy butt off this chair LOL...

Nice thread, Liz.

Shania, even discussing TBF is a welcome convo. I'd rather discuss anything but the dead horse.

What a great way to start a Monday mornng thread. I could't agree more with you, Liz. Then again, all of your posts and opinions have always been the calmest and most comforting ones I have read. I like what you wrote, and I agree.

Its music, there for everyone to either enjoy it or leave it. I personally will enjoy listening to and seeing Journey for as long as they want to continue. Have a great day, everyone!

Listening to Dream After Dream, I am amazed at Perry's vocal prowess. His voice is like a instrument. He doesn't even have to sing words, just sounds and it is so soothing.

Journey's music is timeless to me, even if it does smell of 70's and 80's. Then again, that is my favorite age of music.

Who is band bashing? I am simply asking a question.

One more time.

Journey, Steve, are you lipping entire concerts?

You feel that is acceptable to your fans?

You feel good taking the hard earned money from those of us who have supported you all these years?

Answer these and I will be satisfied.

Folks, don't kid yourselves. Andrew is not nearly done. It's a comin' I can tell you that. This is far from over, unfortunately for those of you who wish it would just go away.

Liz, your post is not that great. It reeks of phony BT ism. If you don't like the thread, don't read it. Hey, here's an idea. Go start a "Let's hear it for Steve Augeri thread?" Nevermind, I will.

How sad for you.

Not sure why people break into verbal fights about all this - is it really worth it? I don't see why Augeri's singing or not singing live can take anything away from people enjoying the band's CDs.

Me neither, Sundet. All I really care about is that they produce kick-ass CDs and sound good when I see them live.

"Higher Places" is one of my favorite songs too. I was surprised to see so many people wanting to hear that particular song when asked in threads about adding any song from the Journey catalogue to the setlist. New stuff usually comes way down the list in those kind of polls.

Yippy......Swimming back in the musical pond
with some folks I enjoy posting with.
Good stuff Liz Spanks a lot lady :P

Right now I am listening to a song I had never
heard about...."I Can See It In Your Eye's"
This is a great kick ars tune.
I can't believe it didn't make it on to TBF
Thank you hugely Niggy :)
I will be listening to this one repeatedly today.

Think it's gonna be a good day.
The Stanley Cup will be won tonight!
and Happy 4th Birthday to my Son.

The first time I heard Higher Places I stopped dead in my tracks and took in every part of that song - from the music to the lyrics. Absolutely incredible.

Yeah, Higher Place is my fave thing off Arrival. Remember Me, HP and Faith in the Heartland are stomping rockers and they should ALL be in the setlist! Nice to hear Heartland at Sweden Rock - I think it was the one I enjoyed most (though the diehards, some of which had dressed as Steve Perry, didn't seem to know the song - do they think Journey stopped recording about 1981?).

By far my fave Journey song next to "Seperate Ways"...it doesn't get any better than this. I remember thinking that Journey were definately back after hearing that track for the first time!...I had even forgot about Perry!!

Thanks for saying that, Liz.

Liz sounding like a "BT'er"? Not even if Hell freezes over....(which it never will) Tired of all the shite...and of people who have to drag their dirty laundry to this Board. Don't care what the reasons are....just way too tired of it all.

Sorry swepett, but that was a joke since the song title is actually "Higher Place"...;)
