Suppose...

Postby knox » Tue Jun 20, 2006 5:20 am

It is true...

There can be no new material for concerts UNLESS it is recorded and then played back. However, if Steve's voice IS shot, then the new recorded vocals will not be in synch with the old recordings. Unless he really sings the entire concert and his vocal quality doesn't change.

So, I suppose the set list COULD be a telling sign, either way. If they stick to the same old songs, it makes sense. If they do new material and his voice sounds different on just those songs, then there ya have it.

even i understand that post; and i think most artist have their voices tweaked in the studio; so what you are hearing is a voice that is as near perfection as the artist is going to get. so, unfortunately that will not prove anything at all.

i just hope the band doesn't leave steve hanging if this is proven one way or the other; they are a band and should respond as a band.

Check out "Out of Harms Way" from Manchester.

If there are recordings going on, they're new ones.

Augeri most likely has a contract, doesn't he? Wouldn't they have to buy out the remainder of the contract in order to let him go? I think someone in the band needs leadership qualities that I have not seen over the last couple years. These vocal issues might have alot more to do with them all singing on Generations as opposed to just one lead singer. I thought that was very odd.

If they let Augeri go at this point I think it would be a big mistake. I agree that the band needs someone with great leadership qualities, and I don't think that Neal fits the bill. As for Generations, while some of the songs are really awesome the quality of that disc is just piss poor in my opinion.
