Lots of Video from Last Nights Show...

Hey everyone....I've been wanting to get out some thoughts and put into words some of the things I've been feeling over the past several weeks as this Journey story has broken wider, but there just hasn't been any good way to put into words a lot of the things that come to mind, strictly as a Journey fan. I thought instead I'd share some videos from our show last night in Wytheville, Virginia. Pardon the quality of the video, etc, but this is how Journey would sound live, with no sequencing, just some guys and some amps and some microphones. Anyway, if you've got a fast server, check them out. You might like them or hate them, either way, it's something different to bitch about.

They don't seem that fast when you're there....Besides, we had to fit 110 minutes of music into a 90 minute slot

Greatest Hits Live.

Thanks for the videos,Jeremey.Very enjoyable and I must say you and your band sound great!
As for the fastest tempo, all is good...It's one thing to record a song in the studio,at a studio "pace" and another to be on stage and feel the drive of the music and the energy of the band behind you! Not to mention the response of the crowd! That makes it hard to slow down, right Jeremey?
Anyway, all bands tend to speed up a little when playing live.

Hey Kim! Thanks for checking them out, glad you like it. Our closest show to Pittsburgh at this time is the House of Blues in Cleveland OH on Dec 2...We'd love to get to Pittsburgh, aside from Hard Rock Cafe (I think there's another local journey tribute that plays there), I don't know of any other venues that host tribute bands...

Shania - It's true, there's no way to keep the enthusiasm down when playing this music. Plus, Journey always played fast live. When I am cruising around XM Radio and hear studio tracks of Journey every now and then, they are almost unlistenable at such a slow tempo! If Mike ever went to playing along with a click track, we could regulate the tempo, but I prefer the energy level that plays off the crowd.

Other than the vocals at the beginning of "Only the Young", that was pretty good.
Here's a link to another pretty good Journey cover band, Lights. This is their performance of "Faithfully". It's only keys and vocals but it's very good and their singer, Juan Del Castillo, has a great set of pipes.

Hi Jeremy,
You guys are great! A friend of mine has a CD that has your band covering a bunch of Journey songs on it. We are both guitarists and are very impressed with how accurately Frontiers captures the Journey sound. We have always wanted to cover Journey songs, but we can't find anybody that can sing them. ha ha.
Anyway, I have relatives in Wytheville and they really enjoyed seeing Frontiers and TK421 at Chautauqua this year. I hate I missed it. Keep up the good work!

Jeremy, I like the fast tempo. Froy doesn't know what the Hell he is talking about.
Just one question. Who is the guy with the digital tapes behing the drum riser?
Seriously, so much better than the current singer. I love the changeup of the songs, especially Only the Young. THAT proves it is live.

Yeah, that one's a hard one to nail from a cold start. Ever hear Perry cover it on FTLOSM? It's tough. Did you check out any of the other clips?
Hey, start your own thread! No one said anything about equal time here!

Hey Zino,
We're doing a corporate show in Orlando next month, but FL is really too far without doing corporate or festival shows....Clubs don't pay quite enough...Maybe coming to a festival near you in 2007?
