I believe he did a great job and at least tried his best and that is that. But this is the Bigs folks. I say send him packing, and let Castranovo do the lead vocals. Hell, he is doing most anyway. This way, there is no tape gate, and no "crazed fan" stalking the band.

Beside the fact that I do like Steve Augeri's singing I must say that it would not be a good idea to have Castronovo be the main lead singer in the band since it is important to have a frontman in the band.

Heck that couldn't be any worse then whats going on now!! But would Perry get paid for it???Well im sure he would Steve A gets paid for doing almost the same thing....Moon Beam wrote:NealIsGod wrote:Maybe Deen can sing while they project a hologram of Perry onstage?
Choking from belly jiggles here Niggy
hahahahahaha that was a good one!
So now you change your agenda once again? First it was truth and admission from the band or you'd take it further..then it was on the basis of how much $ YOU spent on seeing them and you wanted reimbursed....now it's changed to kick Augeri outta the band and you'll drop the tape gate...you actually think you have that kind of power?Rockn'deano wrote: let Castranovo do the lead vocals. Deen may be able to hit the very high Perry notes...BUT you can tell it's a bit of a stretch for him and he certainly doesn't have the depth. Deen is a DRUMMER and an incredible one at that...that's his primary role in Journey as far as I'm concerned...an added bonus of course is that he's got a great voice and it adds more richness to the harmony and backing vocals.

Please remember that the shows last year were 3 hours long.....no vocal warm-up until 8 songs into the set and then Deen sang. It was the middle of the tour that he strained a vocal chord and he chose to back off and let it heal. He can nail the Perry stuff with ease.... but he loves his drums!
He is content singing lead on the songs they have chosen for him this tour and will continue to be a vital part of Journey the band. Trust me..no stretch and have you heard Mother/Father live??? People WEEP! Sorry but I had to add my 2 cents worth and defend Deen. Suzer

I don't know what happened but from what I seem to recall there was an accusation that the person who had started that fansite was pushing an aggenda that Deen Castronovo should become the full time lead singer in Journey?
Is there a possible connection between Rockn' Deano and that website?
When did that happen, and when did Deano start his crusade?
