Journey reviews

Postby bionic » Sat Jun 24, 2006 5:07 pm

No i did not go to the gigs but BT has a few reviews. One guy got in to the soundcheck and the band minus Augeri did 'Faith in thr Heartland' then he was asked to leave.By all accounts the band dont like people to be there at soundchecks! This is not strictly true as i know a lot of people from BT have been at soundchecks, though Steve is rarely there?
Sounds like the show went well Jon sang Generations but Steve was unwell had had trouble with the high notes by all accounts?
My theory if i may is that they are using less tapes and the other guys are singing or in the case of Dean helping the vocals as much as they can to get through the tour.
Remember the band must be aware they are being watched to see if its on tape so they are trying to get through as best they can.
I think at the end of this tour something will be announced regarding Steve,as to carry on like this will invite disaster.Steve is 48 most singers will be struggling with there vocals at this age especially, let alone trying to replicate Perry from 20 years ago.
My answer split up or new singer

Soundcheck photos from 8/25/01. They did 7 songs including "After the Fall" Steve Augeri handled all the vocals. The good old days.

Nice pictures they were indeed the good old days, i dont feel good days are ahead for the band.It sounds like they are trying to get through this tour as best they can.
I was told by a BT moderator that the band would be addressing this issue of rumour, that was over a week ago?
Seems they want this to go away as there is no good way to answer if you are lipping, still feel something will be announced at the tour end, when does it end?

BT moderators do not know what the band is thinking or doing. They think they do.

Arrivalrules, wasn't that you 2 weeks ago battling me? And you were aligned with Pitman too, right?

Nice to see you listened to the boots and made your own decision, and can think for yourself.

I was at the soundcheck at Jones Beach, not sure where you got your information from, but Steve was there and was singing. And no I did not get kicked out !!! The song was flawless and so was Steve !!!!

Can you prove you were there? I want official photographs. I want eye witnesses.

See? isn't that stupid? I believe you if you say you were there, however, I can tell you straight to your face, if Steve sounded good what you heard wasn't Steve. Well it was, but it wasn't live.
