If you love Augeri so much, I would think you would have more concern about what he is doing to what is left of his voice...let alone his reputation and any possible solo career. His voice is obviously shot to hell and needs to be allowed to heal.

You also need to realize that Dean...Deano...whoever, has become a very small part in all of this. Yes, he is the big meanie who exposed your beloved, but this has grown way beyond him now. In addition to being talked about all over the internet it is also all over the mainstream media and has been verified by several independent music professionals on this board alone.

The band looks worse every day they do not address this issue. Fans do deserve an explanation. To not do so is just a slap in the face to the people who pay their bills.

Reading information about the band I've followed for 30 years, bought every record, DVD, remasters, etc., spent plenty of cash on concert tickets...and I'm not supposed to be concerned when I think they may be headed down the toilet? Last time I checked, this was America, and I'm free to read and question and discuss this just like anyone else. If anyone needs to cease and desist, it is some of these loons that are harrassing and threatening people on message boards.

It happens to every band. Let's face it. Neal, Jonathan, and Ross are all well into their 50s and Steve is in his late 40s now. This is rock and roll, not classical music. Unless they're going to be like the Stones and tour until their false teeth are falling out, they most likely won't be around much longer.

I read Cain saying he thought they had 10 more years in them and he used the Stones as examples of staying on the road. Why would anyone with the track record for live shows that Journey has take a chance on compromising that and getting caught doing it? Why would they continue to tour with a singer that can't cut it? I'm also baffled by them turning a blind eye to the press. I guess they can't do anything different till after this tour has ended?

IF Journey could take in the kind of money that the Stones rake in, and they can't, for even one tour, they woudln't have to worry about being around in ten years. They could tour once maybe twice and never have to tour again. The world at this point may even be better for it.

Very few bands are so successful anymore that they can tour when they get a wild itch in places unknown, like the Stones. However, even they tour more than Journey with Perry did. But they never tour every year, as the current Journey does. They don't have to financially.

If Journey has ten more years in them, then I don't want to know what they sound like then. How many "bands" today last even a few years after they sign their first contract, much less 30 years? There comes a time, when people need to "hang up their boxing gloves"...

I went to my 10 year high school reunion many years ago and no one remembered me, until I said, um, Journey...

The "men" of BackTalk, and I use that term loosely, are pansies. They're the type who need permission from their wives to go have a beer.
