What I think is kinda funny is that all the Perryheads are clamoring on and on about this supposed lip-synching stuff but this may end up hurting Perry just as much as Augeri or the rest of Journey, simply because a vast majority of the clueless public equates Steve Perry with Journey and vice versa. in my humble opinion people woud not equate steve perry with lip synching in the first place. i think there next thought would be...didn't they replace steve perry with another singer.

as far as the stone being cracked; well like he said i think in fact they cracked it awhile ago. the legacy is kaput. i think it's smart re issuing or doing whatever it is to the music and remastering them cause there is quite an indelible distinction between now and then.

really. he's preserving his Journey; Neal's Journey is something totally different. one journey masterful and this other journey in the toilet if these allegations are true.

Unfortunately for Augeri, if people didn’t realize that he replaced Perry, this scandal (that is all over the media now), is alerting them to the fact in the most horrible way. Nobody is saying Perry is lip-syncing, they’re saying the guy that REPLACED Perry is lip-syncing.

I LOVE Augeri’s voice on the post-Perry albums - I think he’d do better live if he could sing these songs instead of having to “cover” the Perry tunes.

But if he is having trouble, they should say so, take some time off, and come back when he is healed.

I rather not seem him replaced.

I just want them to address the fans before this completely derails their tour.

It does matter to me if he’s singing live or not. I'm sorry, but it does. I don't expect perfection at a concert, but I do expect it to be live.

Dude, posts like this show how ridiculously extreme you take this. They didn't take five years of your life. Journey is my favorite band, too, but you act like they broke into your house and killed your kids or something. I assume this anger actually stems from the way Pit and his crew have treated you.
