I see it like this...Bob Coburn was flooded with emails about the lipping issue.
On the other hand, even if the show was going to be recorded, Journey knew that Bob Coburn will ask them about that.
He is a radio pro,he could not have avoided the issue knowing how many listeners are waiting for answers.

So my guess is that Journey cancelled the show. It's obvious that no matter the type of the show - live with calls  or recorded- it would've ended up the same way.

The **official** reason would be "too busy touring".

yeah, they're gonna give a reason to not be on rockline, but NOT issue an official statement about this whole fiasco. hehehe

Not slamming you or your question, just amusing myself.

This could have been their opportunity to clear the air, instead, I think it's quite obvious they're ducking the firing squad.

Man up boys! Your fans deserve it.

I am a huge fan of Rockline and really like Bob C. In my opinion, he is one of the radio personalities who keeps things on the lighter side. He doesn't want his shows to be turned into a 'fight' show if you will. He really just wants to talk about the good things that are going on with whatever artist is on his show. I am not so sure that he would have asked 'the question.'
Bob is not about turning his shows into what other radio shows are about. Such as just 'the dirt' and all that.
I think many hands were involved in cancelling this, but I believe it was cancelled because of all of this. The timing, the timing was just to ironic. They knew about their touring schedule when they set this up.
Either way you want to spin it, it does not look good/right. At this point to be cancelling stuff and not saying anything, it's just a bit weird.

I wouldn't blame Rockline for cancelling the show, they have a big reputation as a great radio show, for as long as I can remember. Who needs the kind of negative controversy that would come of that. Maybe it was a mutual thing, who knows. I think it was for the better fo everyone (Band and Rockline). Not for the fans though.
