Craig was and is one of the greatest supporters of Journey here or anywhere, a dear and wonderful friend who many of us will miss everyday for the rest of our lives.

From BackTalk:

"Craig Pitman (icpit) joins the ranks of angels

On June 27, 2006, a massive heart attack claimed the life of one of Journey's and Back Talk's most faithful supporters and dearest friends. All of us, who respected his loyalty to the band and loved him as a member of our Journey Internet family, mourn his loss. Please join me in sending your thoughts and prayers to his broken-hearted family and friends. May God guide Craig to eternal peace and hold those, left mourning his loss, in His merciful arms."

This may have happened when he was posting on this message board. Something to think about because life is too short.

Deepest Sympathies and Rest In Peace,

Say what you want about his tactics but he was definately an ardent Journey supporter and it is a tragedy. I was supposed to meet him in August....

To those who knew him, perhaps you can set up something at a charity for people to honor him through. It sounds like he really loved Journey, which is pretty great in my book

RIP Craig. :(

I have to say that i'm deeply shocked and saddened at this news. If his death means anything, let it be a reminder how important it is for us all to treat one and all with respect on these boards while we can. I would feel dreadful if my last words to this man was a cheap swipe.

Love to the Pitman family.

After seeing the other classless post, I realized that what I offered as some slight humor was ill-advised. I edited it before I saw ANY response about it so I am asking that you edit my quote out of your respose. I apologize.

Journey to the Cure will definitely be setting up a grant to honor his memory.
For now though, we have to get through the next few days.

My condolences and prayers go out to Pit and his family. I may not have agreed with him on recent events, but I did respect him standing his ground.

To the person in another topic that said this was Deano's fault....That was probably the most uncalled for, EVIL attack I've seen on someone in my time on this forum. I know there was a lot of tension, but there's not a reason in the world why that should have come out. Thank you for at least retracting it though.

My last conversation with Craig was a conversation spoken with anger on both of our sides. All over something stupid.

When I got the news today I was heartbroken. I have known many people in my life, not many were as selfless as Craig. Not many brought as much joy.

A little bit ago I was thinking about Craig, and hoping he knows how much better my life and the lives of my family were all because he was part of our lives.

It had been raining a little here earlier, and I walked out on the my back porch to get some air...I looked into the sky and saw something amazing...I grabbed my camera and took this:

Now I can't stop the tears...because I believe that Craig was telling me that everything is going to be ok and that he knows what I feel in my heart.
