Sadly Mr. Pitman is no longer with us in physical form. But I truly believe that spirits can live on and still touch our hearts. In fact one of the posters states he remembers looking at a rainbow after a storm and may be thinking it was the Pitman giving him a wave and perhaps saying he was "alright". Your take on what the poster said or meant may be different than what I gathered from his post.

But to be honest with everyone; the Pitman was a nasty sob when he was here. I know you shoudn't speak ill of the recently deceased but he was mean to many of us that crossed his path. And I think that he would rather we speak honestly about the man he was and not sugar coat it with angels and rainbows and heaven. He was who he was. To some he was great and to others; he may be was not as great. Craig Pitman didn't give what he couldn't take and he gave it good to any one on the forum who had different views than he had. He had no problem speaking his mind and he held his beliefs close and dear to his heart. I admire any person who can be true to themselves and not shy away from controversy. If he didn't like it; he'd let you know. And so I'll miss his fire and his sincerity and his honesty and his devotion to the band. And I'll remember his spirit and his in your face passion for what he believed were the truths; I'll remember a man who was who he was without compromise. I'd rather remember him honestly as I read him here. How many people do you know are able to show all sides of their personality in such a way he could bring out such fierce emotion and still be loved by so many? I think that is the true character of this man. I don't feel guilty nor do I feel that any of us here contributed to his demise. I think he engaged life to the last moment and that is probably more than a lot of us can say.

Goodbye Mr. Pitman and I can say it was a pleasure to get acquainted with a man of integrity and sincerity. I may not have always agreed with your sentiments but goodness; you sure had a right to say what you felt. And he sure did.

I agree he gave as well as took, and I appreciate that people have opinions, even if they aren't the same as mine.

I admire any person who can be true to themselves and not shy away from controversy. If he didn't like it; he'd let you know.

I had absolutely no dealings with Mr. Pitman, but I have read every single post made by him and everyone else during the last few weeks. I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with this statement and feel it could be applied to anyone here on this board, no matter which side of the *issue* you fall on. Good post, Marabelle!

That is one of the best posts I've read in awhile and I probably the first that I absolutely agree with 100%.
