Let's deal with this ourselves

I spoke with Azoff Management and after explaining how I felt the band was hurting its fans, the conversation ended in a “We have no comment. We are not commenting on this.”
Between Journey's lack of response, Azoff’s “No Comment”, and Jon’s “Integrity” interview, I am ready to take this to the next level.
As someone else suggested, I think we contact as many entertainment sites and newspapers as possible. We would target each city just before Journey gets there. We send out a fact sheet of the allegations with links to the related sites and proof. Slap a cover page on it explaining our anger and e-mail/fax-blast it out.
While it may not make headlines, I doubt any review of the show would go without mentioning the controversy.
I’ll set up an e-mail address for anyone who is interested in helping me do this. I imagine it won’t take long for Journey to respond with an official statement. And if that statement is a lie, we’ll work on phase 2.
The arrogance has finally gotten to me. I’ve supported this band far too long for them to snub their nose at us.
Please don’t flame me with your feelings because these are mine.

Nice try on your part, but I'm not surprised they'd say no comment.
There's nothing good to come of a statement at this point, so I'm not looking forward to them saying anything anymore. I'd be very suspect if they said anything other than "Yes we definately did it". I dont' see that happening.

I should definitely clarrify. Similar to Deano's post, I think we should lay out the allegations. In that sense, it's a fact there are allegations. As I said, it would include all the info needed for the entertainment editors to do their research.
Certainly I am not implying that it is a fact that tapes are being used, although they are.

Well, since I already think is has been proven that they use tapes, the statement would have to reflect that.
I am also open to being proven wrong, if anyone has evidence. I asked for that before, but no one had anything.

I think that's what will happen now.
If they say he definetely isn't lip-synching then Deano, Memorex etc will say they are a bunch of liars. This is gonna go on until either they admit it/it's proved for definite.

Journey has had every opportunity to dispute the allegations. All of their supporters have had an opportunity to show proof disupting all of Svante and Deanos comments. So to me, yes, I believe there is enough proof to show they are using tapes. I called Azoff's office and they chose to ignore me, a strong supporter for 30 years.
What else do you want me to go by?

Basically, yes, that's the bottom line.
However, they could write their comment like this:
In light of recent discussions on various music sites and fan forums, we would like to make the following statement.
Steve augeri has experienced for two years now, serious throat complications, we have had to utilize vocal enhancements to our live shows. The loyalty to Steve is paramount and the desire to see our live show helped make the decision to go forward with this idea. It was not done at every show, and we hope to get Steve some much needed time off to recover and come back next year fully healed with hopefully new material. Because they asked me to be a loyal fan over the years. Because I have been. Because it's supposed to be a "Live" show. Because I asked sincerely and explained very thoroughly my concerns.

I speak intelligently. I had a nice long conversation with two different folks. Besides, shouldn't an explanation come out, stalker or not? Who says stalkers are not entitled to an explanation?

Wasn't like that at all. They put me through to his office and I spoke to two different people. One of those people said they were handling the band at this time. The first call was maybe 20 minutes, followed up by a ~10 minute call. Again, the official response at the end of the second call was, "We have no comment. We are not commenting on this." Very polite, but very arrogant.

It seems to me by now that everyone on boths sides can clearly see Journey has hurt themselves by not responding. If we can all see it, they must see it. If they see it and still do nothing, tell me what that means. I mean, Joe Elliot gets asked about it during his interview. Do you think that doesn't cause a team meeting? Do you think that Azoff's office hasn't looked at this from every angle? And yet still silence.
Can anyone explain the business sense of that?

At this point there can be only one reason they're not giving a statement. It has to be because there is something to these allegations and they don't want to have to admit it. They know lying won't cut it right now because Dean has too much proof(whether some of you want to recognize that or not, they apparently do). They're going to try and ignore it in hopes that the non-believers, the ones who don't care, and the curious will buy enough tickets to get them through this tour with some profit. Then it's over for them and the reputation of what was once one of America's best bands.

Suppose you were playing poker, had a full house 10/10/10/9/9 and your opponent had A/A/A/K/K. What would you do?
I haven't released everything yet.
I asked awhile ago, to have Journey Mgt email me. A lot of you laughed and said that was ridiculous. Is it still ridiculous?
This can all be stopped (fromme anyway) by nightfall tonight, if they email me.
