several members decided to attack Jeremey. They insist that he's "making a living" off of Journey's music. Also, they can't believe that he had the audacity to say that Journey shouldn't be on tour because of Augeri's throat. Well, here's the deal. Now that the use of LEAD vocal tracks has been exposed they have 3 options. 1. Go back to the tapes...they sound better than Augeri singing like he's going through puberty. 2. Continue to sing live and get absolutely terrible reviews. In other words, embarrass yourselves several times a week. 3. If possible, stop the tour. I'm not sure of the legal implications, but if it's possible stop the tour. Def Leppard can continue with someone else or alone. 75% of the people are there to see them anyway.
Getting back on point, it really pissed me off to see Jeremey attacked over at the cult message board. He has been nothing but fair and objective. But they can't see that. They're like fucking teenagers going through peer pressure. They're afraid they might not be in their little circle anymore if they say something about the band. MOST of them are spineless fucks who are doing MORE damage to the band than they think others are. Letting Journey tour around the country making asses of themselves is gonna do damage that may be beyond repair. For the sake of the band that message board should be shut down. Those people are fucked up.

never a truer word spoken ...I've had friends over there who were in the "click" and they've said one wrong thing or not come to the defense of someone and have been ousted by the group saying your not part of the family for your actions !!Unbeleivable it's like high school all over again!!They need to grow up and deal with it ...but if they do then what? where would there lil cult be?what about all the venues and friends and "did you see his pants tonight"?They'd be lost lil lambs with no where to go ...sad really...

I think Jeremy being a really great singer in a tribute band and having the ability to analyze those recordings like he did make him the closest thing to an authority who has spoken up in this. They just can't handle the truth.

You may have a point or two, but over all your assesment fails because of how a majority of the people over here who bash Journey on a daily basis act. If anyone comes over an shows once ounce of support for Journey, for whatever reason, people like you Saint John, resort to childish acts of name calling in an attempt to run them off. God forbid that anyone disagree with you or Dean, or Tragchk in anyway shape or form!
If you are criticizing behavior then start with your own first. You are ever bit as "fucked up" as anyone from Back Talk if you apply your own criteria for judgement.
So go ahead now and call me names and such , but I don't get worked up over it, because well, it's just a Forum and most of the people here are just faceless nameless people who act like children because they are anonymous, and as such nothing to get worked up over.

I agree. BT may seem like a sugary-sweet chearleading forum but this place is almost the opposite. Over there, you get attacked for attacking the band. Here you get attacked for defending them.

Awesome post. I know The leps are going to blow them off the stage here in Detroit on July 24th. I will always be a Journey fan, I been there since the beginning. I've know the history of the band than some of the old teenagers at BT. Bring back Soul SirkUS!!!!

I think they should go back to the tapes (like last year) for this tour, then take some time off, recover and then new cd and tour

You are suprised by this? Official Forums are SUPPOSED to be a place for the cheerleader of a band to post, it's not a place to run the band down.
It's also not supposed to be a place to run someone else down either, and if the Mods over there did so then they did the right thing. Jeremey doesn't deserve to be run down like that.

Why is it ok for Journey to give Augeri TIME to recover/rest when it was never given to Perry either during early touring or TBF hip injury?

I have listened to both of these line ups, but there is something seriously wrong with people when they are rooting for the underdog whom has been given 8 years to prove himself and has fail to do so. Perry did a lot in that 8 yrs span, yet you are all quick to shut down any possibility of Perry coming back. Whether you or I like it it is going to happen it is inevitable.

Perry will NEVER sing again for Journey. There is too much residual anger there along with the facts he doesn't want to tour anymore, and he doesn't have the voice anymore to do so. He has been invited to sing with Journey anytime he likes and has turned the offer down over and over and over.
Please let's not turn this into a Perry Vs. Augeri thing, that has been done ad nauseum for the last 8 years.

Boy, way to spin things. If BT is the devil's spawn, I am not sure why Jeremy posted over there? He got upset when his own words came back to haunt him. Rather bad form to criticize Journey on MR & go the band's own website to tray to hawk his shows. So he was surprised that he wasn't so warmly received after various statements on MR?

For a bunch of people who detest BT so thoroughly, there are a few people here who spend a lot of time talking about it.

Monker you are SO WRONG about it not having a purpose, it sure it does! It is a place of discontent, anger, disillusionment and wishful thinking and that is just in the GOOD posts!

what purpose does bt really have???They don't answer questions from the fans with legitimate questions ...If they ask it ..it gets deleted or they get booted and labeled a trouble maker ...and that's doing the band good how excatly???

IMO, people should have enough respect for one another to not do that. I think Andrew gives people too much credit. I've seen it time and time again - over and over again....when it's allowed, people don't give a damn about the forum, each other, or any other consequence for what they say. They just do what they want and to hell with the consequences.

I saw three members of that place attack Jeremey
for announcing some upcoming shows he had
and something he said over here.
YOU said yourself you were the trouble maker.
HE didn't bring up the re-hash you did.
As far as hating Back Talk or any of the members
I sure don't, the devil himself and maybe
Osama Bin Laden are the only ones in my hot seat.
I read there on occasion and post even less.
