Tall Stories

A little good news (seeing as it is alleged there is never anything positive posted here...)

Two song titles from the upcoming Tall Stories CD release (the long lost "second" album) are:

Original Sin and Tomorrow

Both very groovy tracks. Sound a little different, but before long sound very familiar. Great to hear more from the band.

More soon...

is it NEW recordings or did they use the recordings from the 90's, and are just releasing it now? that's what's confusing about the info that was available.

yeah well it's been made out that Tall Stories were getting together to record or re-record this stuff. Long Lost recordings was being touted as new stuff for a while. Which it obviously isn't, unless you want to say new release. But even then, if they are putting out old recodings that have been "cleaned up", you're still getting demo quality stuff at best.

whocares,,, i think id take it anyway ,, if its good i dont care how old it is ,, everything now is just

a turn off music wise,to me , ill take anything thats cool and new,,, most the time the demos are a little more

raw and rough than the slick version and sound better ,, kinda live ,,

keep rockin -larry

one only has to look at John Fogerty's release back int he mid 80's (name escapes me, though it shouldn't), in which most if not all was written in demo form, on a 4track with very little overdubs, to know demo(ish) material can in fact be a hit and sound great. I can't argue there. I'd be interested, but we've been hearing about this for a few years now, I hope it finally get's released when they say so this time.

yep that very CD

I remember reading the article in Home Recording and he made it seem that ANYONE could record an album on their 4 track.

My point about this thread was originally suppose to be that I'm leary of the info I read and that they weren't actually getting togehter to record new versions or just plain new material. There are various things out (as we know) that suggest it couldn't happen, but it'd be nice to do that for the fans.

Having heard several of the demos for the 2nd album, I can say that they didn't need much cleaning up. As reported by Jack Morer, the guys were recording a lot of music for the 2nd CD in studio. They may not have been finished, but I get the impression they were far from 'rough demos'. In fact, Jack said you can hear the progression of ideas within the song as they were recording them. I think that is cool and I really look forward to this CD! (And I do not recall anyone implyin gthat it was going to be new music. I remember Steve saying he wa going to get together with the guys to work on releasing this CD.)

Are you all stating that it will be about how Augeri sounded before he was influenced by Perry?
Interesting to say the least.
