Red Rock

I think that I'll buy a ticket for Red Rock. That would be a great time for Perry to step up to the plate.

Come on you guys. You know that it would be a dream come true. It's what bands do.

Perry asked the bands forgiveness at one time. Maybe Journey should do likewise.

Nah, the songs don't sound as good tuned down.

You could tune down 1/2 step without any problems (why haven't they done this for Augeri? Every little bit helps, and dozens of veteran bands...Jovi, U2, Metallica, etc have done it). But any more is impossible, since many songs have guitar riffs based on open chords (Stone In Love, Wheel In The Sky, etc). You can't really tune down more than 1/2 step and still get the same guitar sound.

I seriously wish people would stop WISHING for Perry to be back. Why bring him down to the level this is at now? No need to have two sides down. I'd totally lose any respect I had for Perry IF it happened. But we all know it's not gonna happen, so stop saying it'd be nice if it did.

Let Perry be the one that has SOME integrity left at this point. No matter what you feelings are about his departure (no pun intended). He doesn't need to be thrown into this mess.

I would likewise lose any respect I have left for the band if it happened because they should have learned by now that he just rips them apart.

They've already been fooled twice, shame on them.

Isn't it obvious to you by now who is ripping who apart with this band?

Um, they still tour and make new music... if Perry were still there, there would have been nothing for 8 more years. I don't see the band ripping apart, you guys just rip them apart yourselves.

.....and the rest..... Neil would need to tune his guitar down from E to B (nu-rock styleeee) in order for Perry to have a chance of hitting the high notes!

Or, Perry is ripping his fans apart because he is unwilling to do what they would like - a new album, a new tour, a Journey reunion of any kind. Perry delivers nothing but guest vocals on other people's albums...and even though they say that's enough, they keep asking for more.

LOL! That is a perfect description. We get ONE review from the Journey mailing list...and now the tour needs to be canceled and Augeri replaced, or Perry back....blah, blah, blah.

Let's just ignore the fact that the writer PRAISED Journey in that review...and that Augeri was doing OK by the end of the show.

Yep, the sky certainly IS falling. Sure it is. It's been that way for going on nine years. I guess it eventualy will but, geez, people like to jump the gun on everything.

Well, that's better then having the need to hack up a hairball for past twenty years or so.

Glad to see your sense of humor's back, Tony, after scolding me as having huge nerve to ask deano to post walks like a lady for AFireInside being as how I'm single-handedly responsible for tapegate.

You wanna go camping with me. don't you? :)
