Jeff & Deen

Postby Paul_UK » Fri Jul 07, 2006 9:05 am

I wonder now that Jeff has jumped on board whether Deen will still sing his few songs or whether Jeff will take over? I'm guessing that Deen stepped up to the mic due to Steve's throat problems?

I really hope Deen continues to sing a few songs. His versions of Mother, Father & Still They Ride among others are fantastic. I think, if his voice can handle it, three songs a show would be great.

he should still continue, he doesn't have a GREAT voice but one that works very well for the songs he sings. He does a very nice job when it's his turn to sing.

I would hope that he continues to sing the couple of tunes he does brilliantly.... and backs up/doubles up Jeff's vocal to make it sound even fuller 8)

I think this version of Journey will vocally be the best live since Gregg left the band.....If Jeff is out front handling the "Separate Ways" "Wheel In The Skys" and "Lovin Touchin Squeezins" while Deen is belting out the "Suzannes" "Open Arms" and "Mother Fathers" it will be pretty unbelievable.

Yep, gotta keep Deen's lead vox in all shows and albums now. No going back. Too good, too much of an asset not to let it breathe. Write the Keith Richards 1-song minimum clause into the contract language now, in fact.

Betting you will hear at least two songs by him if not more

For me he is the powerhouse that drives the band now. Certainly the most powerful drummers i've ever heard and still manages to not only hold the tune, but nail it while hitting out beats!

Amazing talent.
