Listen to this song.

Personally I love it, but after you are finished listening it is tough to think of him crooning "Open Arms"

And yes it is JSS singing.

How about letting folks know what you are offering?

In regards to Jeff's career - he's as versatile as any performer I have heard - metal to modern rock to funk, pop and straight AOR/melodic rock.

Some will like it all, some will like various bits and parts.

well i think he needs to sing songs that are not just Journey songs. He can do some of the Soul Sirius songs and some Journey old and lot new. Let him make his own identity.

This is a clip of "That Load" by Skrapp Mettle. Jeff sang on this kind of as a joke in 1991. Watch out if you're easily offended, the lyrics are over the top.

(I am a JSS fan and think this is hilarious)

And your point being? This shows me that JSS can do any type of music and put his mark on it. :D

JSS can sing any style he wants to sing. The man flat out has the ability to work in any musical area. Listen to his Queen DVD :!: If he can do justice to Freddie, he can do justice to the Journey songs too. :D

Oh exactly! And go check out his website. Amazing amount of free material to hear.

I just think it's funny some of the people swaying to a Journey ballad, knowing Jeff once did this.

Ah, Skrapp...yes, Jeff has intresting views on that album....haha....he was hired to sing that.

All good fun and yes, completely over the top! Possibly not for your average Journey fan!

Actually, it's funny...

When doing singing sessions after his solo shows hwre in Oz, fans would present this CD to Jeff and he'd go, "Aw f***, where'd you get that from..." quite funny...

Please no Soul Sirkus!! If they play any of that crap I am giving up for sure. There was maybe one good song on that CD IMHO.

I have a show of Jeff covering just Queen songs, not bad. I have a show of Jeff covering everything from metal to slower songs. Not bad. Whilte he does not have a pure voice like Steve Perry, Dennis DeYoung, Michael Sweet, etc..he does a good job and yes, what makes him so unique is his versatility and his passion/energy. Those of you familiar with the move Rockstar. He also did a lot of the singing for that movie.
I am very curious to hear him take on the Journey songs.
While I wouldn't say his voice kicks ass, it sure is a hell of a lot better than a lot of what''s out there. So many cannot sing at all or have lost it. Then again, he is taking over for a group who is so well known for what its lead singer can do. For that fact, I hope this is more than just convenience.

Lose the Ross and Neal vocal tracks and I love 'Generations'. I like 'World Play' too but only half of it is of a high standard IMO....

Gens is a 8 or 9 out of 10. World Play is a 2, IMNSHO.

Thank God we all like different things. The world would be pretty boring otherwise.

Now Arrival & Red 13 I thought were cool.
