For the Record

HOTS, why are you such a bitch?

To now start saying I was in kahoots with the band, and this was all a setup?

FOR THE RECORD.

No, I am not connected to the band, nor would I want to be connected in anyway possible.

I acted alone, and had no one try to use me to get rid of Augeri.

1- Augeri did this to himself.

2- Neal and Jon and Ross and Deen and all of Mgt who knew, are guilty too.

3- The only thing more stupid than BT ers thinking Augeri is coming back, or people who don't believe in the tape scandal, are people who think I was used to accomplish this.

Pull your head out HOTS.

Makes it easier to shift blame still to you I think. Since Steve is gone, there has to be some logical explanation, right? :D

Yeah but unlike Steve A, I have balls and a backbone and Journey won't and can't shut me up.

Well, for the sake of the naysayers, assume you were a puppet of Neal. Wouldn't that make Neal Dr. Evil here, not you since you are just the messenger? The logic defies me.

Why would Neal Schon try to split the fans knowing it'd piss people off by getting rid of Augeri? Whether he did or did not get along with Augeri is irrelevant. Journey is his cash cow, so damaging it and getting caught red handed is the last thing he'd want.

His hand was ultimately forced.

it gets more and more ridiculous as times moves on ,, they got caught ,, people arent going to beleive

the truth until the band says so,, and they wont anytime soon because its a credibility killer,,, they are business men now first,,

i would think that deanos first post here might say that neal , jon and mgt put steve a. up to it ,, he has a huge fan base,, he was seen as the front man ,,

and changing that might cause problems,, especially if he was just a hired gun,, i would wonder if he really wanted to sing

to a tape , but was forced to ,, and the only blame he deserves is just complying,,and loosing his voice,,

If you're not connected with the band then how do you know so much inside information Deano?

I just think he must know someone connected with them even if he personally isn't, because he knows so much.

I haven't seen him post anything remotely "inside". The JSS joining Journey stuff has been going around the internet for over a year...nothing new or inside there. The last tidbit he dropped on that blog was nothing more than a discussion two posters here on this very forum were having yesterday.

I think people just need to do their own research and stop looking to one guy for "inside info".

Which illustrates the point I was trying to make. People don't bother to read a single thread in its entirity much less the active threads on a board before they jump to conclusions.

I've heard you say this before -- exactly where else on the internet had you heard this? I've tried my best to keep up with all the news on the band (through melodicrock.com) and never have heard anything about JSS coming to Journey before now. Of course, I'm not turned off to the fact at all.

Hey guy, I still mean everything I said in the post I was referring to, I just didn't mean to bring anymore heat onto Dean with it. Don't treat me like I'm a newbie here(like you?)because I'm certainly not.

(And by the way Dean, HOTS isn't a bitch.)

I can't give you any links because I just don't know where I started hearing it first. SS used to have a forum at BT that is now shut down and there were several SS message boards that came and went. JSS used to post a lot a BT until he went off on someone who was needling him and some got their panties in a wad over his language in a family forum!!

I think much of it was the relationship that he had with Neal, and I believe Augeri was starting to have voice problems around the same time. SS was doing Journey songs, and JSS had clips of himself singing Journey songs on his site. JSS mentioned possibly hooking up with Journey while they were on tour in some journal he used to keep online while they were on tour. I think some thought he meant onstage and ran with it. Someone asked him about it directly...interview...message board...chat??? and he seemed to blow it off, but here he is a little over a year later walking into the lead singer position reportedly with NO rehearsal????

I think it is a very positive move for Journey to have made for whatever reason.

LOL!!! Talk about getting your panties in a wad!!!

Look "lady" my point was about people who post long diatribes without bothering to even read the thread they are posting to much less the active threads in the forum...or didn't you read that part either????

Me too. I have JSS' Essential ballads and Eyes of Love cd. Both are great CDs and I'm thinking of purchasing a Talisman CD.

let me correct what I mean above,
Dean didn't find this alone, some else did, dea is the one who harped on it.
I think there is a conspiracy going on with the whole Journey thing, deeper than Deano here, but Deano is not the reason Augeri is gone. I agree with some of the other ideas, that this is a Neal thing wanting JSS in. I mean they work good together, it gets the band away from the Perry shadow. Augeri will always been in Perry shadow. Jss who is not a Perry sound a like can take the band in a different direction. But will that direction be close to Journey sound or Will it bee more Soul Sirkuis which I dislike. But looking back this what Neal wanted. Jss was ready and waiting.
I would still like for a well Augeri to come back to the band at the end of this tour, but Deano and some of the others maybe right on "this", we may have seen the last of Augeri in Journey, and that is sad-ERIC

Maybe it was a "conspiracy" to rid Journey of the humiliation and scandal that an Augeri fronted Journey had become.

Bringing Augeri back would be like throwing a tub of ice water on the tour. It just isn't going to happen. No further statements by Augeri or the band are going to be made about it. No more regard is going to be given to the way Augeri fans feel about the situation than was given to the Perry fans feelings in 1998!!! Get over it!!!
