Well, Neal was asked by a fan at a M&G about Jeff:

"I asked Neal and Deen what it was like having Jeff around. Neal just put on that big sh@t-eating grin of his and said "He's the Man." Deen talked about how Jeff just fit in so nicely with the rest of the band, how easy it was for him to get settled in."

No surprise here. They got along fabulously in SS. JSS is a great guy.

I realize that you are new here but when Andrew says no more BT stuff I think that he means it. Guess he'll have to decide and I guess you should prolly post the whole thing in context if you're gonna cull it from there, right?

It's a quote by Neal Schon put on a public internet forum. I'll let Andrew decide if it should be removed. It's his forum, and I won't have a problem at all with it, if he does remove it. Until then, I think it is newsworthy.

Neal and Jeff composed an album's worth of songs in a piddling matter of days (for SS).
That's some greaat chemistry they got going on.
With any luck, during some down time, they might compose some new Journey material.
Neal and Perry used to be writing co-horts back in the day.
Love to see Neal find that symbiotic working relationship with a vocalist once again.

note: this post at BT was not made by me. I do not post

At the meet-n-greet saturday i asked Neal, Jon, Jeff and Deen a few questions about the situation. Let me see if I can remember everything:

1. I asked Jon "How's Steve Doing?" - He and Jeff said that Steve was feeling good and that he would be seeing another specialist this week.

2. I asked Jeff what he was doing when he got the call. He said he was just working on some stuff at home. For those of you that don't know, Jeff grew up a huge Steve Perry/Journey fan. Considering that his first show with the band read like the track-listing for the greatest hits album, it was easy for him that night. A few hours before the Va Beach set, the guys could be heard practicing some tunes during their soundcheck like Feeling that Way / Anytime. I just wished they would've done some more from froniers like Chain or Blade.

3. I asked Neal and Deen what it was like having Jeff around. Neal just put on that big sh@t-eating grin of his and said "He's the Man." Deen talked about how Jeff just fit in so nicely with the rest of the band, how easy it was for him to get settled in. **PLEASE DON'T READ INTO THESE COMMENTS LIKE I DID AFTER THE MEET-N-GREET** I swear, there was a side of me that kept thinking "This thing with Jeff sounds permanent", it was just a vibe I was getting but, after a lot more thought, I don't think it is. Jeff will probably finish this tour, just my opinion, and Steve will be back when he can.

And a funny side-note: Someone took a picture with a "Journey Disposable Camera" that the venue was selling and Neal and Deen were absolutely flabbergasted! They had no idea those existed but got a really good laugh at it and thought it was a pretty cool idea.

here ya go folks.. in toto

Absolutely!!! I think it is the writing chemistry that has been a large part of the problem!

Ace,
I have asked for there to be no complaining about BT users or the policies of that forum. I don't have any problem with it being mentioned in conversation.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Or quoted too it seems. I just wanted the whole quote not some out of context bit that didn't reflect the truth of the quote. We're square then.

At the end of the day if the vast majority of the fans walk away from a JSS & Journey gig feeling that they've had a great time then thats all the appriciation Jeff and the band needs I think :)

I have seen JSS live (His regular gig and his Queen tribute show - both were awesome), havent seen Journey live myself but would not pass up the opertunity if they came to Aus!

Here's hoping..
