Good job, Big J. You're doing great work lately.

Audio is really to rough to make a good judgement.

Here's an easier link, maybe save it to get it to play clearer.

http://lexilyn.be/jssmedia/page66/page6 ... -movie.mp4

It is crackly, but you know what? That note's the highest note in Faithfully, and he does hit the damned thing.

EDIT: Highest note in the song save for those final "forever yours"es. I think he can do those though, had no prob hitting the other.

I couldn't get that one to play, when I sought it out before the first show.

Thanks for posting that. Sounded great from what I could tell. Will reserve judgement until I can really hear for myself later in the week.

The video and sound quality isn't the best, but from what I can tell, Jeff is doing a pretty amazing job. Hopefully, someone will post a better quality clip for us soon, but for now this one is enough to get me pretty excited.

That's about how I figured he'd sound.
Doesn't sound like Perry..sounds like Jeff Soto doing Journey.
Need more to make a judgement..this is promising.

I thought the highest notes were the ones at the very end of the song.
Y'know, all the "I'm forever yours, forever yours, faittthfullllllly!"
Perry even said he used to have build up strength to hit it.

The word "ever" in "forever" is the highest note.

Yup, I edited my post above. Caught myself as you guys caught me. I'd sure like to hear if he hits that or attempts it.

Well this is just great!! I knew it would sound good. Jeff has such a powerful voice and ________________ (insert appropriate adjective here) stage presence, he certainly has my vote to continue the Journey. I'lll admit, I'm somewhat biased ;).
Until we meet again, may God

Couln't open w quick time

Like to hear this new version
Have heard the U tube Faithfully version
and the ending in my opinion was not good.
You could clearly hear him change voices
and he did try to do it in operatic form
but to my ears it was not at all a pleasing sound.

For the most part I think his vocals are great
Think he will breathe some life into the band
but the Utube ending made me cringe

I finally got it to work if I saved it to my PC, opened Real Player and then opened the file from within that.

I just got audio though....but holy cripes that was nice!

I'm sure JSS is going a great job, but the quality of that little snippet sucks. It's hard to tell anything from that thing.

Right click on the file and select "open with" and then open it utilizing some other player on ur comp (if u have one).
Real Players, Windows Media, etc etc etc.

Thanks for the tip.

Through the cracking he sounded good. Can't wait to hear a clear recording.
