Posting Revoked...

PostPosted: Tue Jul 11, 2006 1:34 pm

I have been banned at Back Talk! I never recieved a notice, either. I respected the rules enough to not break them, which is why I stopped posting there. I e-mailed a guy over there so as to NOT break the rules again and he freaking posts my e-mail.

I feel I was respectful in my email, you can read the post here:

I tried to reply, but my posting priviledges have been REVOKED!

Amazing !!!!!!!!

I saw it and sent it to you in a PM...

That's really fucked up!

They think they are angels when in reality they are nowhere near it. Pretty low in fact. Then again I expect it. Can't respect something like that.

No BT chatter here, remember Andrew's post...
but you are now a member of a (constantly growing) exclusive club :)

it's sad though that it's posted in a thread that says, "Not trying to add fuel to the fire".

I edited out the rest so I don't get whooped by the Wombat. But this frosts my ass! It's like people are being egged on to egg everyone on here. UGH!

It's been obvious that they don't want people saying that kind of thing: "Augeri is gone", "You are hoping in vain".

I'm not surprised they banned you.

Don't bring it here, though...

How the hell do they justify revoking posting privileges for an EMAIL ?

Holy cow.

He has asked for it to be removed. In case it is, here is what he said:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First off, much thanks to those of you who have replied thus far and to those of you who will reply in the future. I also thank those of you for respecting my words and maturity in relation to my age (19, 20 on September 25)...can you believe it this guy's single lol. All kidding aside, I received this email and was distraught in reading it and not trying to jab at the person who sent it to me or expose them, but to show a different view point (one that I don't agree with):
"Hey,

Knox here, used to be on Backtalk, but changed to Melodic Rock. I read your
long post, and I read this situations differently.

Respectfully, I don't believe Augeri is coming back. I am 100% certain that
Soto is the new guy. Think about it... Augeri's voice is "chronically"
gone. Neal has worked with Jeff in the past, and loves working with him.
Augeri got Journey ZERO radio time. Soto could do this.

Remember this e-mail. Soon, Augeri's picture on Back Talk will be replaced
with Soto's. Journey just doesn't want to upset anyone at this point.

Interesting that we never heard a Statement from Augeri, isn't it? I am
sure he signed a "hush" document in order to get paid for the rest of the
tour.

I don't mean to be bashing, which is why I am e-mailing instead of posting
on BT - they don't care much for me there. Just wanting to let you know
that you are hoping in vain. Augeri is done. Soto is in.

Remember, you heard it here. It will happen. If it doesn't, please e-mail
me and tell me how wrong I was.

Knox"

Again, thanks to those of you who have replied and hope they continue coming in.

Nick

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, I was following the forum rules there, by not bashing any member publicly. Heck, I was even respectful to the kid in what I wrote him!

This thread is NOT about bashing Back Talk, either - as that would be breaking the rules of this Forum.

This is simply a "what the heck????" thread.

Andrew, this is your board, and I want to respect you and your rules.

Knox

this is exactly why i do not email or pm anyone. lol. if you can't just say it then don't say it at all.

People like to think even if they know, that something said in private would remain that way. Obviously it should be known now, that if you say it to someone here or there, then it will most likely be put in the public. That doesn't make it right.

That was NOT the 'rule' Andrew posted. Andrew said:

If you have a problem with BT or users of BT, deal with it elsewhere.

I have enough to deal with here without grief from that sitution / issue.

Understood?

To which I asked what would be the consequences for breaking that rule. Andrew didn't reply.

So, since EVERYBODY replying to this thread and talking about the subject Knox brought up is now BREAKING THE ABOVE RULE...What is the consequence, Andrew?

I am just glad I didn't say something that would make me look or sound antagonistic! That was NOT my point or reasoning at all.

I understand the dilema here, but I have nothing to do with BT (obviously!!) so I cannot really comment on what they do or why they do it.

You are most welcome here however.
