Screen names?

Unless you let the board pick your screen name randomly for you, like John19634 or something like that, how did you come up with your screen name?

I take mine from the Savatage song "Conversation Piece" (Edge of Thorns, '93). Many think it reads "Conversation P.C.", so I like to explain that whenever I post on a new board to avoid confusion. Anyway, it's not necessarily one of my favorite tunes but good for a screen name, in my opinion. I later found the book "The Conversation Piece", from which my avatar comes, though I've edited the pic to my tastes.

No kiddin' on the Savatage deal? Cool.

As for mine, I've just used it forever. My name's John, and I'm kinda big, so in a grandiose post-pubescent act of ego I decided I would be "Big J." Kept it ever since.

Sometimes I go by BigJ7489, the 7489 referring to '74 and '89, the last two Oakland A's championship years. Big A's fan.

When I got "online" I was jrnyman27. I knew I wanted something Journey related and liked the implication of Journeyman=traveller. (All who wander are not lost). Well I messed up something and lost 27 (Which was how old I was at the time) so I went to 28. So that would mean....DAMN! I have been online 9 years now!! Where does the time go.

Yep. Actually, I just changed my avatar a couple days ago from the album cover for "From the Gutter to the Stage".

...I think I'll add that cover back into my sig.

When I rode motorcycles, I had a CBR600f4i. My screen names started out a Knoxvillef4i - since I live in Knoxville, TN and rode that bike.

People started calling me "Knox", and I liked the shortness of it. Now, it is just because I live in Knoxville.

While being the son of Blake Carrington can be tough sometimes, I have burned through the family fortune on booze, chicks and gambling, the name still carries some weight in certian circles.....

LOL....I just liked the way it sounded, always did since Dynasty.....

Doesn't it piss you off when that happens? Fortunately, "conversationpc" is almost always available whenever I register on a new board.

That would be AFI (as they are commonly known) correct?
What got you into them? I like some of their stuff, but it is pretty hit or miss for me.

Well, my name both reflects my nationality and my love for Deep Purple.

The word "lilla" means purple in both Norwegian and Danish.

The "forever" part goes without saying 8)

It is short for my name-
Louise, but everyone calls me Lula, Lulu, or Lu :)

Lula, my sis's name is Luisa, but we call her Lisi, anyone call you that?

Ok, so I got tired of using the same name everywhere, and figured no one REALLY cares about my nickname or real name, so.. whocares was what I chose. Obviously someone does care.. thanks CPC. sniff sniff.

I like bands from all kinds of genres and they're one of the punk bands I enjoy, but mostly their more mainstream recent albums. They just came out with a new one which is all right at this point, but I expect it to grow on me.

Maybe one of the reasons I like them is because their singer has a shrill unique voice, and Journey hooked me with Perry's shrill unique voice... they don't sound alike but they both sound unique.
