Battle of the Bands Def/Journey opener

Postby Angiekay » Fri Jul 14, 2006 12:44 am

When the Journey/Def Leppard tour rolls into Columbus, Ohio, on September 10th, there will be a special opening act -- and no one knows who it is yet. A special one-day Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp will be held at the Germain Amphitheater, and the campers will have a "battle of the bands" live onstage before Journey and Def Leppard play their sets. Fantasy Camp counselors including Free and Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke, one-time Steely Dan and Doobie Brothers guitarist Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, and former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle will be on hand to guide things before the campers hit the stage. More information is available at the rockandrollfantasycamp.com website.

A week-long Fantasy Camp will be held in New York City next month.

Ok...I may actually do this...
I am a good vocalist (think Geoff Tate with a growl)...I play passable rhythm guitar and basic bass.
What I want to know is who is going to come see me do this? I mean it only works if my friends are there laughing at...errrr...WITH me!
