Ok...now that JSS is singing for Journey should they add the JSS sound Believe in Me to the set?
If you never heard it before let me tell you it is PURE Journey in sound. Neal wrote it, Deen plays drums on it, and Neal is playing guitar.
I believe that JSS has a link on his site to a clip from the video.
I think it would be cool...it would fit with winning over Journey fans...at live shows...Believe in Me, JSS sings...should be cool!

Well if Neal wrote it, and plays on the song with Deen, and now JSS is singing for Journey is it REALLY JSS material? How is something not possible Journey material if Neal wrote it and plays on it?

With an 80 minute set, probably not. But if JSS continues with Journey and they do normal length shows? Hell yes...Jeff is a great talent in his own right, and I see no reason why he shouldn't get to do one of his own songs in the set, especially if half the guys onstage helped write it in the first place.

Hmmmm.... maybe that is why Jon is scowling so much these days.

Yeah, I agree! Seems that since they've done some of Schon's material life in Journey when he was with Hammer (or whoever), they absolutely SHOULD use SS material, since Neal obviously had a big hand in writing it. In fact, Deen came up with the original drum sound and licks, as well as backup vocals.

I say "Go for it!" I had purchased tickets to see SS at their first gig, but as we know it was cancelled.

The Journey material should always be played, but why not include other material that the guys have worked on? (That's rhetorical.) I'd definitely be up for it.

Ross looks like he's having fun. But I agree about Jon. I've never seen him look so sour on stage. Has anyone figured this out?

Jon and Steve are tight, good friends, I would think it is because of Steve being sick and how everything has gone down. Jon's a resilent guy he will bounce back. A friend of mine was at the preshow M&G in Ft. Lauderdale and Jon was fine.

Well Believe in Me is actually off of a JSS EP, not SS.

Wasn't it Jon who convinced Neal that Steve would be the right guy back in 1998? I think that was the story -- if I remember correctly. I believe they are very good friends indeed. And Jon is the only one who has answered when anyone has asked questions about how Steve is doing since this whole thing happened.

Then, I guess I'd have to say "why not" to them doing "Believe In Me". They should probably wait until they do a little bit longer show though. This one is a bit short and they still need to do the Journey hits.

(And of course, that's assuming that Augeri isn't coming back.)

Journey material all the way. Enough of a catalogue to chose from, I would think. If Jeff becomes the permanent lead singer of Journey, then I could see them performing some JSS solo material in concert, and maybe a SS tune, but only if it was one of those 3 hour concert deals. I think 90% of the people at a Journey concert want to hear the hits and the "almost" hits....It would have made sense for Journey to play "Oh Sherrie" or the like since they were top 10 hits and most everyone would have recognized them. Maybe they could play "Turn Around Tokyo" on the next tour! That song rocked.

It was the same comment where Neal said JSS was "the man" if that helps. I can't quite it right now. But it was from a fan talking to them, I believe. Maybe after the Tampa show? Not sure.
