"Won't Get Fooled Again"

Postby ATLjrnyfan » Sat Jul 15, 2006 11:24 am

Hey Guys... I saw Journey's show in Atlanta last night.

Awesome show with JSS, and so was Def Leppard's.

Just before Journey came on stage, They played The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again".

Sounds like the band was offering an unspoken explanation / apology for "tape gate".

Anybody else notice this at the previous Journey/JSS shows earlier this week ?

Maybe Atlanta was the first time playing this ?

You are kidding right? Talk about a conspiracy theory!
It's just a song played as filler music before a concert.

Thanks for the info! How about some detail on the show?

To answer your question PerryFaithfull -

The show was pretty much like the VA and FLA shows described here in other posts.

Neil opened with the Star Spangled Banner, no FITH, so they changed the setlist.
The setlist is posted in today's MR update. JSS was all over the stage.
The crowd was totally into it, standing on their feet the whole time.
Neil is now playing on the left side of the stage, Jonathan on the right.
No complaints from the crowd around me, or the beer line, about JSS.
Everyone liked what they heard, including myself. I was sitting real close to
the stage, everybody looked like they were having a good time, including JC.
Somebody mentioned here that he looked unhappy onstage, not last night !!

Thanks for the review. Neal and Jon were on the same sides at WPB as well. That's the first time I've ever seen them like that. When I got my tickets, I thought I would be Neal-side. That's always a good side to sit on.

That's great news that JC looked cheery again. I'm really glad to hear that. Maybe he was just having some personal issues that put him in a bad mood for a few nights .. or he didn't sleep well.
