Who's Next? Lead Singer change ups...

Postby brandonx76 » Sat Jul 15, 2006 1:08 pm

Seriously...after reading the front page on Survivor (not really heart broken about this, but what the heck) it seems these once loathed, yet prized individuals used to run the show in rock bands (Remember LSD, Lead Singer's Disease)...today it seems like the bands are taking over and going about their business of making it work without their long standing vocalists...Maybe it's just that the fan base is that small, that no one cares...

Anyway - any predictions on who the next victim will be?

I'm trying to think if there's anyone left who still has their original lead singer .. just kidding.

No, he has waaaay too much talent and that band is super tight together. I haven't seen Rush or ZZ Top but they all seem pretty happy. I could add U2, Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones to that list of those who still have the original lead singer.

Pretty much what my angle was...that those line-ups aren't changing anytime soon! :)

I must admit, I did like Jimi with Survivor. I wonder why they made a switch? I'm sure there's plenty of speculation on the Survivor board. I have never heard of the new guy. Do you have any opinions on him?

ZZ should have replaced drummer Frank Beard years ago...I recently saw him when I sat stage side at a ZZ top concert (yeah, you bet your ass I touched the fuzzy guitar)...Frank was smoking ciggarettes in between each song, and playing pretty bloody awful...they definitely had some creative stage mixing going on that night... with much of the latter hits being drum machine...Real shame to see too, as Frank was the master of killer blues shuffles back in the day...

I still say Kansas because that band kind of falls in with Styx, Journey and Survivor. Same with REO.

So Kansas or REO.
