My subject is my question.
Was this website, its readers and one VERY VERY SMART? poster what caused a changing of lead vocalists to a VERY VERY VERY popular world recognized and respected band?
It's not like he brought down ' The Hughes Corporation, or Men Without Hats' we are talking about JOURNEY.
That is ONE DAMN BIG make that HUGE fish!!!!

I dunno...are they "down?" Seem to be carrying on nicely with JSS. Did he bring Steve Augeri down may be the better title.

Yes, without a shadow of a doubt.

Yeah, and he is also the reason Bush's ratings are down.

The Steve A. led version is down and out. Did Deano cause this???????

Here we go...
I think someone would've done it eventually...after the allegations from that one sound guy at the Sweden Rock Festival, someone would've done some investigating and figured out the same things...Deano probably wasn't even the first, but he was the loudest, which counts for something I guess.
I wish Journey could've handled it better, but at least they're being honest now in their performances, whether you like JSS or not.

Deano succeeded in getting Steve the much needed rest he needed to take care of his voice.

YES they are. They are NOT carrying on nicely with JSS from what I've heard. I think this entire thing lays on Journeys shoulders. I think (opinion) steve was in between a rock and a hard place.

Journey's Journey to me.
I still have 4/5 of the lineup that put out my favorite album.

Although he denies it, I think Deano has a connection with the guys. I also think this was a set up, a way to get rid of Steve Augeri and make people want someone else in there. Whether they say he's coming back or not, the chain of events that led to it suggest he won't be.
Did Deano bring Steve Augeri down? I would say yes and no. Deano probably managed to speed up the process with the things he accused him of. But on the other hand, I think it was all going to happen anyway... someone just had to get in there and stir it to make it into a bigger drama.
We might never know the real story. Anyone else notice Deano has conveniently disappeared now that Steve is gone?

Deano screamed his ass off about Steve A's. voice enhancing.
I for one did NOT believe him.
Look what now has happened!!!!
He NEVER let up, and now Journey has a new lead singer.
These are facts.
You can go back and look at the posts.

He's been posting elsewhere. He claims to have some additional dirt on the band that he says is worse than the lip-synching allegations.

Er. OK.
Plenty of people are digging the JSS-fronted lineup. A (seemingly very vocal) bunch are not as well.
I'll roll w/ JSS at least for now...can't hang w/ hair splitting ala the "he shit the bed on the 'OOOwwwoooowoooowwwwwoooooooooooowwwwwwoooooOOOOOOoooooooowwwwwwwoooooooooo pen' part on Open Arms... only made Open into 3 sylables! Na na na na na!!" crowd.

Deano has disappeared???
Maybe the 'Gap Band' dumped his body off the San Francisco bridge???

That proves my point then doesn't it?
Deano says he doesn't have any connection with them, but if he didn't then he wouldn't know what he does. He knows too much to be just another fan. My mum suggested Deano could be the guys sitting behind their wee laptop on their tour bus, but I don't think they'd go that far.
As for people liking JSS in Journey, as I've said before I like JSS but I just don't think he's right for them.

I think they brought themselves down, Dean just sped them along to the end a few months earlier than would have happened naturally. Augeri was burnt toast and it was bound to come out before this tour was over.
They've got a chance to redeem themselves now if they'll just handle it right.

I think it shames the whole band, not just Steve A. It's not like Steve called the shots in Journey and said I'm doing this and you will all just have to deal with it.

Exactly. I can still respect the immense talent of the guys in the band and Neal will probably always be my favorite guitarist but they have all screwed up on this whole situation.

I'm not complaining about anything in open arms (which Castronovo sang anyway and did well at) I'm complaining about Sottos voice/pitch/execution/technique. I could care less how many syllables the man uses and that's not what my point was. I was trying to say it's not even CLOSE to the correct pitch/tone/feel. Absolutely terrible.

Admit it, you're only on this board with your peers to skank it up. You'll do anything for "sugar," won't you, seeing as how he's the one who brought you loons something you think you can salivate over? Then, when he serves you no more purpose, you'll spit him out and toss him in the garbage.....

Has he been "rewarded" yet?
Augeri was burnt toast and it was bound to come out before this tour was over.
Oooh a Perry euphemism..."burnt toast." You always manage to interject him in a sentence somehow.
They've got a chance to redeem themselves now if they'll just handle it right.
And how should they do that, in your opinion, of course, Mrs. Smarmy?

So what do you really think?

Can't remember for sure but it was in one of the other threads a couple of days ago. There was a link to a post of his on another site and I checked it out and saw his name there.

I think you're very wrong. I think he may know some people who are feeding him info, but that's all.
