I cant believe there has been no news of Steve A's whereabouts ... talk about being "gagged" for f**ks sake

Couldnt the Journey official site tell us where he is?... any treatment he may be undergoing?.. unless, as is likely, they wanna ensure we forget him...and the con they all pulled...... stinks really...to high heaven

After all the messages of concern that had been posted..its just another example of "the firm" not connecting with the fans!

It obviously means so little to the music press...that no one is even bothered to follow the story up.... just about sums things up these days with our fave band doesnt it??

True enough. It's been nearly 2 weeks since he left the tour supposedly due to a throat infection.

Surely by now he would have e-mailed the site admins on the Journey site to tell them how he was doing. I think the whole gag order thing may well be true.

It really is weird that there is no news about Augeri’s health condition.
Suppose he is personally not making any statements (gag order? depression? being somewhere in a clinic?), then at least the Management or the rest of the band could release an update about his condition.
Theoretically, he is still the official lead singer of Journey as long as there hasn’t been any statement which designates JSS as the permanent replacement.

This attitude is completely callous.

We have been told, at least as far as they're concerned. There not gonna set up a webcam on him like The Truman show so that the bunch of people online who wanted him tarred and feathered in Times Square at high noon for what they accused him of can now watch his every move.

Personally I hope the guy is doing well and that
he is enjoying time spent with his family and friends.
Journey is still touring and playing for the fans.
That's what's important to me.

Yeah, Augeri probably needs time to recharge his batteries as well as heal his voice. I hope he is back in September like someone else here said could happen. But I hope he doesn't come back too soon.

Be nice to see SA back also. Looks like JSS will be busy with Talisman later this year and it doesn't read as though he's going to be permanent at all with Journey (read Andrew's front page story).

How do we know he's not secretly on here though... the great thing about the net is anonymity.

Someone already said JSS is watching this so how do we know the rest of the guys aren't as well?

I believe I read somewhere that Steve Augeri's sister has posted here before. And if it is true that she did post here, I would not be surprised if the guys cruised the forums.

The guys read a lot more than people would think.

I think it was Deen's sister who posted here. Also Steve's wife supposedly watches the message boards. I seem to remember there was someone moaning about ticket prices and she came on the noticeboard to set the record straight.

You never know do you? I've had a few talks with Neal about message boards in general, he gets a laugh out of all the supposition that goes on about things that the average fan has no clue about.

And yes Steve's wife reads the boards, Backtalk at least, and I know Deen's sister does too, but I doubt they come here too often.

So effectively someone on here who none of us know could be Neal

I somehow doubt Neal posts...but reads? Yeah on occasion I would think... You don't even have to be registered to read the posts so he might not even have a name to post...
