oh man , i didnt see this one,, right on!!! i have all of his instructional videos,, the advanced workout is insane,, he was partners with a crazy high tone,singer??? cant remember his name,,,

That's from his "Live in Austin, Texas" DVD, which came from the Austin City Limits TV show. I listen to that song quite often.

Here's a couple from Christian band Whitecross. The guitarist is Rex Carroll. This guy is incredible. Definitely influenced by Malmsteen and Van Halen. Anyway, the first tune is a live version of "You Will Find it There", a good blues number. It opens with a short solo but the second solo doesn't come until about 2/3 of the way through. The second tune is "Good Enough", which sounds a lot like VH.

Hey thanks for the whitecross links never heard this guy but you are right he is pretty good and influenced by yngwie for sure, i dont care for their singer much tho.
