I almost added "seriously" to my original post but didn't think that was necessary. But seriously guys, why did he perform with Journey on that video that is posted on his website?

He was supposed to be their singer but Herbie fired him for Perry.

Back after the "Next" album, CBS was putting pressure on Journey to get a lead singer and write some hits. I don't remember if Fleischman was officially made a member of the band but he did do a few gigs with the guys. In fact, I have a short movie of a performance with him from 1977 in which he does a few of the tunes from what would turn out to be the "Infinity" album, including "Winds of March" and a couple of others. He also does the song "For You", which appears only on the "Time3" collection.
Also, if I remember correctly, he was the singer for Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
If anyone wants a copy of the film, I'll be glad to upload it.

Speaking of Fleischman, does anyone have the Wheel in the Sky demo featuing him? It was only broadcast once a couple years ago on the radio show "Selvin in the City" which featured the Super Jam II/KBFH show with all the covers like "Good Times", "Born Under a Bad Sign", etc. I thought it was going to be be same old show that has been floating around forever so I didn't bother to listen to it, but Selvin had to go and add this awesome gem without any warning. After collecting Journey rarities for about 10 years now, that completely PISSED ME OFF

............anyways, if anyone has it for trade, I would love to work something out........I have quite a bit to offer from all eras........
Rock on,
Eric

I'll have to try it tomorrow...The file is well over 100MB, so it may be too large to upload. If so, I'll try to see if I can find where I downloaded it from. It was just recently that I found it.

Actually, I found a link to it posted in another thread here...Seems it's on Fleischman's web site for free download. It is a rather large download (127 MB), so it'll take a while to download, especially if you don't have high speed internet.
