..was freaking SWEET! Jeff and Deen really nailed the songs, I think. Everything was fantastic.. I had a great time and Journey didn't disappoint me one bit! Everyone seemed to be getting into them and I think Def Leppard was EXTREMELY dull in comparison.
The people I went with (who are only casual classic rock fans) said Journey should've headlined this tour, and that they rocked harder than Def Lep did.
And yeah, Neal wore his sweet purple shirt.
"Escape" was practically an out-of-body experience live.... Phenomenal performance of that song!

Although I had criticisms of my shows, my son, who is 22, thought that Journey rocked and were way better than DL.

Read it again...The quote was "rocked
and were way better than DL." It doesn't say they rocked harder.

I know Def fans might think Journey is a whimpy band.. but when it comes to live Shows.. Journey rocks as good as it gets!! and I would agree---Journey music better live than def leppards music is live.

He said; " Journey rocks, mom, and they were way better than Def Leppard ! " This is coming from someone who is into heavy metal !

wow. My daughter is really into metal. I'm taking her to the Journey show August 26th at Shoreline. She just wants to see DL, but I'm betting she will like Journey now that they have a "rockier" singer and have rocked up the set list so much.

Ask the 'dozy' Joe Elliott..... he hates Def Leppard being called a 'rock' band..... Well, if they're not a rock band, then I guess they didn't 'rock' did they.....?!
Btw, Journey ROCKS!

At the Nashville show, Def rocked, but seemed more by the numbers. Journey was more raw-ERIC

Then they shouldn't have played at 'Metal' festivals, worn spandex, had pointy shaped 'metal' guitars and been part of a scene called "The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal" should they?

You went from saying a rock band to now metal...you obviously can't decipher between the two terms. Metal festivals, spandex, pointy guitars? Are you retarded?

Def Leppards music sounds dated today, it didn't stand the test of time. While Journeys music sounds just as fresh today as it did 25 years ago. I mean Def Leppard wrote a song called "lets get rocked", come on-how kiddish is that?

lol

Yes I agree "Let's get rocked" is a bit childish, but it was intended to be...outside the lyrics, the song is pretty good...ever seen some of Journey's videos?

They always seem to make the list in cheesiest videos
BTW, LGR came out in '92...if you are going to rip on them about dated stuff, try to do it in the last 5 years.

Acyually, I can, but thanks for your concern
Metal is a specific sub-genre of 'rock'. Def Leppard were part of it, yet Jellyot says they weren't.....
A Metal band is still a Rock band. Either way they 'got rocked' by Journey.

confirmed
