Video for Neal's and Deen's Fans

Postby elagpa » Fri Aug 04, 2006 6:20 am

Hi
great board, I'm from Lima, Peru. I'm a big Journey fan. I want to share with you one part of rare DVD 'Paul Rodgers and Company' that I have, great concert, great special guests (you'll see them) but the best thing is the presence of Neal Schon and Deen Castronovo as members of the Rodger's band, performing the full concert. This is a clip of Rock Me Baby I upload it in youtube, enjoy it and feel free to coment :D

Welcome to the MR Journey forum!

Cool video. Thanks for sharing. The only player I didn't recognize was the guitarist that took the 3rd solo.

Are you familiar with Paul Rodgers' "The Hendrix Set"? Neal and Deen guest starred on that album also.

Have to take your word that Deen is on drums...I cuoldn't see his face.
Fun clip, but oddly enough I thought Slash had the best solo. And I liked that Brian Setzer stuck to what he does with his rockabilly solo. Neal was cool, but as has been the problem in the last couple years, he blurred his notes by trying to play speed. It was just too much. Neal is known for his melodic playing more than anything...and that would have worked better...as it did for Slash. Now who was the other guy on guitar?

The guitarist special guest are Slash, Brian Setzer and Trevor Ravin.

They played many songs and the Hendrix material too :)

That's a great concert, I kinda like the tunes where it's just Neal...he kicked butt in that band.
