How's everyone coping with the heat?

Is it just SAPPING the LIFE outta you?

Escaped to AC in the Movies the other nite with Mark...we saw "Lady in the Water"

M. Night has officially redeemed himself from THE VILLAGE!

You east coast folks have what we in California had last week. We lost 160 souls to that shit.

I coped by staying indoors and playing with Big Jim:)

These brown outs here in NYC, have made it impossible for me to work.

Studio has been shut down for 4 freaking weeks.

Been spending A LOT of time at the beach. Atleast I got a nice tan.

but it is a bit cooler then the last two days.

Bored here too, I actually can't wait to take the kids to see Barnyard, woo hoo

Took the kids out for ice cream at Carvel's yesterday, it was HOT in there too....wanted to jump into one of the bins where they keep the cakes

Hopefully tomorrow it'll be better, I can't take this heat anymore!

We DO have AC and a dehumidifier in the house....but we wanted to go out and STILL be cool.

That's why we went to the movies.

Water was somewhere inbetween bath and ice cube, but refreshing.
No fishing for me, but there was a guy catching some fresh seeweed.

Hot? The devil himself is sweating right now.

Not too bored... last week we went to the mountains and got in the ice-cold water for a while. This week is worse; not only do we not have A/C at work, but the one in the house has been woefully inadequate. That's okay though. If I sat around in the A/C I'd be sick as a dog when I went outside or to work. This way I'm sort of conditioned to it. Still sucks. I hate humidity. I hate temps over 75-80, too.

The radio station here played "cold songs" all day, even Christmas carols.

try dealing with those 100 degree temps 5-7 months straight Phoenix sucks

I like it here... we deal with winter 5-7 months straight. That's the only thing that makes summer tolerable for me.

I found Phoenix almost bareable, but 5 months would probably do me in.

Here in NYC, it's the concrete and the humidity that get ya.

And the fact that I've been living with one working outlet, the fridge(Thank God), and one window AC for the last 3 weeks. And I work at home.

I guess it could be worse.

phoenix gets the humidity in july -and august as well a good 1-2 months of temps at 110 or more couple weeks backit was 118-120---it was 120 in the shade on my patio the other difference is the heat is strongest later in the day so it stays up around 100 degrees at midnight all summer long its one big charcoal pit
