Saw an interesting TV commercial while watching the Biography channel tonight. A commercial for Journey's Greatest Hits came on, showing highlights from numerous concerts and video. Boasted a new 16-page booklet highlighting "never before" published photos. Has anyone else seen this yet?

Hey Lar,

Thanks for posting that. I noted Binghamton, NY in 1979!! Yeah, that was an OUTDOOR concert in a vacant lot! A number of bands refused to play due to the fact that it was raining. Journey played :) The thing about living in NY was this: whenEVER you planned something, you could be sure it would rain... :D

Regarding the JourneyCD.com CD, I'm just wondering why they're advertising that one now. Isn't this the same one they released a while ago? Journey isn't set to come through this area for a while now. Kinda weird. It was at least a 30-second spot, which isn't cheap to run at 9:30 at night.

haven't seen the commercial, but it must be part of the 4 albums reissued on Tues. Three have booklets, and extra music.

here's a link to legacy records:

Where have you been, man? Steve Perry is putting all "his" Journey CDs and solo music out again with booklets. A few came out on Tuesday...

Been busy I guess. Frankly, I'm not sure why they're being reissued now.

I think that's a question most fans have been struggling to answer. I said in another topic that maybe SP is just bored.

Fred, if you look, they added songs onto the original releases. La Raza is on Escape as well as a couple live songs.

I guess, but there's really nothing original on any of them that haven't been released and re-released before, is there?
