Augeriville? I tried to register, but it seems that they're not accepting new accounts at this time. Hmmmm. Just wanted to lurk and see what they have to say about what's going on. Probably not missing much. In fact, I have a pretty good idea of what they are probably saying. Anyway, has anyone checked it out? If so, what are they saying over there?

I'm assuming you're talking about the tape-gate stuff. Although common sense wouldn't make good courtroom evidence, it works really well outside of the courtroom. When they came under the microscope they switched singers. Good enough for me. I've also heard a lot of bootleg evidence too. One that was from a friend so I know it was a legit boot. He sang his little heart out into a microphone that was not turned on. He'll never be on stage as a member of Journey again and that's all I really care about. Hope it was worth it. Go back to cleaning toilets at The Gap.

Whoaaaa....it wasn't 4 years. It was most of last year's tour, the European mini-tour this year and the first leg of this years American tour. Not 4 years though.

I heard most of last year 4 shure, this year 4 shure till it came out. But on other occasions he got "augmented" coz he's had problems since 01 w/his voice & couldn't hit notes most of the time.

Very true. I'd bet anything you're right about that. They're not gonna let anything mess up this tour. Def Leppard is making Journey a ton of money on this tour.

This is my THEORY. They said they were not going to tour this year. My guess is they wanted to give Augeri the time he needed to heal his voice. Neal had his side project that he REALLY wanted to succeed. Enter Def Leppard. The guys realize they could make a ton of dough touring together. But they have no singer. My GUESS is they contacted Perry and he told them to fuck off. He couldn't have said yes if he wanted to. He looked out of shape and touring takes time to get ready for. They revert back to the tape(s) that got them through last year. Perry realizes time is running out, remembers the high of the White Sox experience, realizes the Journey door is open and decides to start "practicing scales" to see what he "has left." That's where we're at now. At the end of the tour they're gonna contact Perry and say, "hey dude, last chance man." Depending on how he thinks his voice is and how it will hold up he gives them an answer. If it's yes, we have a reunion. If it's no, he probably does an album he's comfortable with and releases it himself and Soto is Journey's new singer. Either way Augeri is out. There is no scenario that keeps him with the band. Unless he learns sign language and they play for deaf people.

While Neal and Steve may have butted heads in the past they always brought out the best in each other. Neal has said some very kind things about Steve in the last couple of years, as Steve has done the same too. The friction lies somewhere else. I really think Perry hates Cain. I can't remember the whole video but it seemed Neal and Steve got along quite well at the WOF ceremony. Valory and Perry seemed comfortable too. I think Perry hates Cain's guts. It's just a hunch. I don't think he'll ever forget Cain calling him and telling him what he did. Just a theory though.
