I HOPE so. I got GH+5,ST, and FTLOSM and unless there's some REALLY rare stuff on it (or new stuff) like "Lost Angels" or "Let Go"...I don't think I'll buy it. But...here's hopin'.

Steve already released a "Best of" album a few years ago and he's released no new material since then. Why do we need another one?

He gains new fans every day. If he would put just a couple of new songs on it, it would sell like crazy. You just got to know that he has material that he hasn't released yet.

Make it a 2 cd set. Disc 1: GH5 and Disc 2: Unrealeased, Live and Rare. Make disc 2 about 10 songs...you've got a big seller.

There's probably tons of it laying around. Putting a few new songs on it would make me more likely to buy another re-release, that's for sure.

Well, it could very well be....
...or it could be a "surprise"
I DON'T KNOW.
But, this is very interesting....Uncle Joe Benson's response to an emailed question from someone at BT:
Quote:
"...Having sat within six feet of Perry singing in a recording studio within the last 10 months, I know his voice is (and pitch) is as good as anytime since the mid-Eighties....Rock on!
Joe Benson"

No cover art on the CD, maybe that is not available yet. Sure hope they would'nt put out something so bland looking.

I have a feeling tha Legacy won't have anything about it until the release date is near. I will have to check my Legacy e-mails for the next two months.

NOW THAT put a HUGE SMILE on my face!!!!
Hey ANYTHING Steve Perry releases out to sell to the fans will definitely be bought by ME!!! October can't get here fast enough! I love all his solo music & if this is a re-release, it is possible he might of added "something new" with ALL those other great songs, but even if not, I'm still buying it.

So you would buy a CD that is just a bunch of songs you already have? You know you could just burn the songs on a CD yourself, don't you?

If you can check that out, that would be great!
It'd be very interesting if they decide to list the songs....and there's a few on there that
no-one ever heard of....

There was a similar situation to this a few years back. There is an African Amercian pop singer by the name of Steve Perry who has released a few albums. It seems as if each time he releases an album it is mistakenly found under the Steve Perry (of Journey) name. This was the case on sites such as amazon.com, barnesandnables.com, etc. Some people on the Journey forums even made pre-orders in anticipation of the release being from OUR Steve Perry but, to their surprise, it was a different one.
Let's keep our fingers crossed...

This is the definition of "Legacy Records":
"Legacy Recordings is Sony BMG's home to the finest in rare and collectible music recordings. Legacy Recordings sets the standard for Re-Issues, Boxed Sets, Expanded Editions, and Special Compilations".
IMO, OUR "Steve Perry" fits into that category.

Doing your research....I like that. Well, it looks like we are in for a treat.
