Question for Deano

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Wed Aug 16, 2006 3:09 am

Deano, your posts always crack me up and, since I haven't been here long enuff to become a freind/enemy to you yet, I just want to ask one question:
You stated in another post, apparently after having contact with JSS, that we are in for a something special on the second half of this tour??? Is it something as simple as the guys totally changing the set to be more of the great 'deep cuts' instead of the dirty dozen??? I know you you don't like totally divulging 'everything' you claim to know but just wondering if you could enlighten on this one topic. Thanks...

Good luck getting an answer. If he wanted us to know he would have spilled it.

And just so Carlitto H@kk knows this too... I'm Citygirl on BT. The other mega-gab in that conversation.

As for you being suspended from BT Bionic, I'm not impressed with that. You were just giving people information you'd been told. Surely knowing the truth is better than crying cos they don't know.

For an official site it's ridiculous. I actually think the band are deliberately telling them bugger all.

I've actually shared quite a bit of correspondence with JSS in the past, as far back as 2004 while I was in Iraq, and would PM him... but with the vacation ending today and the first show of the second-leg tonight, I am sure that JSS is going to be one busy guy.
JSS is the classiest, most approachable and freindly RockStar in the biz and I'm glad to see so many folks on the "Journey" MB here getting into what he's doing now with Journey. As for the "AugeriHeads-In-Heat" over at BT, it's a lost cause. I was a fan of Augeri at first when Arrival hit the market... but for me, he lost his lustour pretty quick.

What does me in about all this is if you belive the tape story or the fact that Jeff is the new singer and Steve is not coming back, then you are a troublemaker out to destroy Steve and the bands life and arr bringing negative energy etc??? :? Surely it just means you have a diffrent opinion to the drones at BT? Ihave no problem with people hoping Steve will be back or disbeliving the tape story, its just diffrent opinion

You all know I like Steve and would like it if he came back. Whether I believe the whole tapegate thing is a strange one. I do think things were going on to a certain extent but I don't think the story's as it's been made out on here and I also think there's a lot more to the story than any of us will ever know.

I don't see knowing he won't be back as bringing negative energy. It's called being realistic.

The problem is that NONE of that is "official" so it is speculation that is unhealthy for their world. Since they have asked everyone to drop the tape-gate discussion (they did give it a little time though...a step forward) it is fair to follow that with action if necessary. As for the JSS in Steve out thing...nothing is official yet. I see the mods reasoning. What I do not like, are the fans that gang up on anyone for the "negative energy" or the differing opinions. I think the mods handle most things fairly...it is the other BTers "mob rules" mentality that bugs me.

Unfortunately, even ALLUDING to Steve A not coming back is the equivalent of using the "C" word over at BT and you will be punished!

That's where they're going wrong. As I've made clear, I really like Steve as a singer... but realistically how can he come back. They're extending the tour into December, you mentioned the plans to tour Mexico and Puerto Rico, the Talisman tour has been cancelled... no sign of Steve re-appearing anywhere except maybe in another job he did long ago.

He's probably been on the phone to The Gap aksing for his old job back

hi folks! I go by the same moniker over at BT (No reason to hide). Just to clarify:
I didn't say they were touring Mex and PR with JSS
That was part of a post (and a really good, happy one I might add) in Dixie Highway that I asked the original topic-starter to clarify. No clarification has been posted yet.

I'm so fucking tired of hearing this. "Har har, Augeri worked at the Gap what a LOOOOSERRR." Please tell me that none of you have ever worked at something as "low" as retail or were in an unsuccessful band when you were younger if you're qualified to make those jokes. Did we forget Perry worked on a farm? Everyone starts somewhere.

Jesus, it was meant as a joke and if I've caused offence I'm sorry, and FYI, I'm from a working class family, me mothers a cleaner for a university, my dad spent 20-odd years as a bus driver and now is a taxi driver, and I've worked in a call centre and my sister works in a betting shop.

Well, then you have no room to joke about begging the Gap for a job.

I've just heard that line one too many times at this point. Enough with the damn Gap.

Thank you NIG and A Fire Inside!!!!!!!! Why people continue this stupid "joke" is beyond me.

The guy put out a cd with Tall Stories, they opened for Mr. Big back in the day and if you read the reviews everyone was blown away by them OVER Mr. Big. Then Steve got the Tyketto gig, recorded and toured with them. He did his time, paid his dues.

And by the way, the job with the GAP was not "janitor" as alot of you like to say. He was a maintenance manager. He basically oversaw the construction of new stores in the tri-state area. Not exactly a bad job. Leave the guy alone. He is out of the picture, for now.

The band has been in the basement the last 2 weeks sucking on battery acid...They are renewed now...I believe that singer guy, you know, the "fill in" is going to blow your doors off this leg of the tour. I was hard on him, and I was way out of line and even more incorrect when I said "he doesn't need rest." All this time, JSS has been singing in "Boogie Noghts," a disco fun bar band type gig, who always played down my street, but Hell I didn't Jeffrey was the vocalist. Fuck, I would have been down there drinking his sorry PR ass under the table...

No deep album cuts this tour....It's 80 mins of hits.....Some nights if the voice isn't happening, a solo might be subbed in for a "Only the Young." Pretty smart if you ask me......

The Augeri Gap thing bugs me too. I respect him a lot for working there and doing something to put food on the table for his wife and kids. I can actually see myself forgiving Augeri in time, but then I sit here and listen to what he did to masterpieces like DSB, Lights, SW and so on, and I seethe hate for that fruity fucker. If I could, I would reach through the screen, and rip his dick off and shove it in his pie hole and say, "lip this fucker!"

I have some passionate thoughts on the band now...at this very moment, ALL good thoughts. I feel renewed, and re-invigorated. I am jacked up. Maybe very soon I will have "something" to share with all of you...we shall see.

He was the maintanence manager for all Manhattan area Gaps.... Christ to hear some grave dancers say it he scrubbing overflowed urinals out with tootbrush sized wire brushes. Augeri's a millionaire plus now so nobody laughs the Gap shit off probably more than him, if he even bothers to read us...
