Usually I can see where BT is coming from when they do thnigs, but if it's a well-wisher thread for Augeri there's no real reason to lock it. I'm always inclined to think the orders are coming from above when it comes to that forum, though.

The "miracle" thread was turning ugly.
Turns out journified is a long time member named Raised On Journey so s/he knows what s/he is doing.
Ultimately it all goes back to the subject of "what is going on with Steve" and "why hasn't anyone said anything". Both lead to speculation and bickering among the population...

You guys think Neal "cares" about posters on BT?

If your life is playing and touring, would you want to be bothered by people throwing jabs back and forth on BT?

I highly doubt it. They've hinted often about shutting that sucker down.

Bionic, they did go overboard in your case. I've seen worse posted by others still there.

I don't even bother posting there (not that I post much anyway).

I posted over there after JSS gave some info about Deen being sick and feeling better he did this like 24hrs after the red rock show that (which i thought was commendable and people were askingabout DEEN and Jeff told them) i can really see people must be feeling left in the dark over there lately. People are asking about Augeri but they get all these generic deflection statements its not like its been 3 days since Steve stepped down its what 5 weeks? there has been numerous posts about this you would think someone would make some statement--this is so fishy no matter what you believe about Steves departure. what did they expect --they left this weak statement saying he had a throat infection and now its like --"would everyone stop asking about steve he's at home getting better" i mean they give updates about Deen but not Steve could they be more inconsistent so cj tries some of the weakest deflection /distraction techniques ive ever seen talking about someone who was sick who's not even in the band,which had nothing to do with what i was saying all i can say is i see alot of SMOKE AND MIRRORS

If they want a great substitue until Augeri gets better, why don't they give HUGO a tryout.
As great a singer as Soto is, he is not right for this band.
At least give the fans the sound they want until Steve can come back. It will make for a great show.
HUGO is definitely the guy for this, he is doing a Journey tribute band now. Check out his website at journeyshow.com
It would be a story just like the movie Rockstar, guy gets to live out a dream.
(Soto could appreciate a story like that)

I am so WITH u here Yulog. I read ur posts over there about this, saw how u got "critiqued" for being honest. Just want to say I admire ur guts. Im sure u saw CJ's response? SA is at home, Deen is still on the road, apples & oranges. Um maybe people are afraid Deen will be at home soon if his sickness continues. Oh rite its ok to post about Deen. Just dont dare ask about SA. Smoke & mirrors is absotely correct.

Yes I was. Who cares about a fantasy bar and drinks!! If you do not agree with the regulars their, they ignore you. Have good discussions about the music not what the singer is wearing or love threads. Have it like this forum. This place rocks!!!!

The "bar" threads are not the only threads there... the Booze Thread here is very much like it too... in fact I think BTUI is a lot like this forum except for the "anything goes" atmosphere.

Only a narcissist would enjoy reading BT. How many times can the guys read how wonderful they are? It's a cheerleading section, not a forum. While this place gets shitty at times, it shows that we have opinions and are willing to offer constructive criticism. The other place would stunt any creativity the band might have if they listened to the posters there.

I joined this forum today because I got sick of all the speculation and the "don't you dare say ANYTHING about Steve A not coming back" type posts. As much as I hate to say it, I really don't think Steve is coming back. It's refreshing to see people open minded about the whole situation. And if I see one more war about the who sings better SP or SA, I'm gonna puke. Each singer brought their own talent to Journey. Just had to vent!!!

No it's not. If you argue with the wrong people over something TOTALY unrelated to Journey, you can get banned. That's not cool, and it only goes to show that BT has become more of a soap opera then a forum dedicated to JOURNEY discussion. It's more about the people who post there then it is about Journey.
