Horrible songs in your head

Postby knox » Mon Aug 21, 2006 9:18 am

Just for LovelyLourdes, this thread is for those songs that get caught in your head that drive you crazy.

Up for your "head listening torture" first:

When you're alone
And life is making you lonely,
You can always go downtown
When you've got worries,
All the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and go
Downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure,
Downtown, everything's waiting for you

Well, according to SOME posters....

I've been accused of the following torture - simply by spreading "Friday Goodwill" and answering the "Now Playing" thread:

"Groove Is In the Heart", by Dee-Lite, and

"Never Gonna Give You Up", Rick Astley.

oops....my bad.... 8)

I don't mind Rick Astley - *takes a deep breath*. Now what was difficult to say, I can only imagine what it would be like for people coming out of the closet

I don't know whether to feel honored or

But here's one for starters

Image

Like A Virgin
 Image

I made it through the wilderness
Somehow I made it through
Didn't know how lost I was
Until I found you

I was beat incomplete
I'd been had, I was sad and blue
But you made me feel
Yeah, you made me feel
Shiny and new

Question: What the hell was she currency? Shiny and new WTF?

Do you Love Me?

Enjoy

You broke my heart,
'Cause I couldn't dance.
You didn't even want me around,
And now I'm back, to let you know,
I can really shake 'em down.

Do you love me?
(I can really move)
Do you love me?
(I'm in the groove)
Ah,Do you love me?
(Do you love me?)
Now that I can dance,
(Dance).

SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY!
LIKE NO ONE ELSE!
SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY, AND I CAN'T HELP MYSELF.

Why is it we know the words to songs we hate and therefor, theoretically, never listen to????????

I like Safety Dance.
Here's my contribution:

I don't wanna grow up
I'm a Toys R' Us kid
The got a million toys at Toys R' Us
That I can play with

I don't wanna grow up
I'm a Toys R' Us kid
They got the best for so much less
You'll really flip your lid

From bikes and trains to video games
It's the biggest toy store there is
I don't wanna grow up
Cause maybe if I did
I couldn't be a Toys R' Us kid

More games, more toys, oh boy!
I wanna be a Toys R' Us kid!
All children left unattended will be given
an espresso and a free puppy.

Really want to show you lord (aaah)

Really want to be with you (hare rama)

And how about:

If you're blue and you don't know
where to go to why don't you go
where fashion sits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Different types who wear a day
coat pants with stripes and cutaway
coat perfect fits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper
Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper (super duper)
Come let's mix where Rockefellers
walk with sticks or um-ber-ellas
in their mitts
Puttin' on the Ritz

Artist: Taco
