I just caught a bit of "Not Another Teen Movie" on Comedy Central and noticed that the prom scenes were filmed at the same place "Oh Sherrie" was. I heard where it was a long time ago... it's some hotel in LA, but I've forgotten now. Anyone know the name of it?

For some reason I thought it was the Pantages
but I could be wrong

They broke up in 1985 I believe....

Well, she made a huge mistake letting Steve the man get away....

Not the Biltmore Hotel, it was filmed in the Park Plaza Hotel. I walked that staircase many a time back in the day.

Park Plaza Hotel.

As of 2004, it was remodeled. Prior to that it stood empty for a long time, used for shooting movie scenes (and videos). A group in L.A. now hosts special events there... click the link, there's a photo of the infamous staircase and some others.

Biltmore is sure a fine looking hotel but

I read somewhere that the building had been at one time a bus terminal. But that was on a site so it could have been wrong.

Sherrie was married at one time and has 2 sons.Last i heard she was dateing someone.

It might of been a mutual decision, steveforever. Once Steve did comment that "they were right for each other, but not good for each other, or good for each other but not right for each other" at times. We will never know the particulars of their relationship and the breakup, since Steve has been very private about that.

Know nothing about "close" but I do believe he thanks her (among others) in his liner notes for one of his CD's. Can't remember which one.

I always thought Sherrie was way too thin for that long ago. She was the front runner of a long line of anorexic/bulemics to come. She was cute, though.

This hotel is gorgeous. Sherrie was beautiful but very skinny and what's with all the bondo? She didn't need it. Ah..the 80's

gosh talking about Sherri makes me think of that post when she followed him to the concert and blasted him from the car to the stage without missing a beat...now that's a girl who had something on her mind and wasn't afraid to say it irregardless if he had to be on stage to sing within minutes. or, when she had the fight with the woman (someone's girlfriend); I guess even if she grew up in the same town or even if she appears to be a small town quiet shy farmer's daughter; she had a way with the words and a temper to match his own. that had to be a relationship to remember; guess she could give as well as she could take.

The video was shot at SIR Studios in Los Angeles. I used to rehearse their years ago. It's still an awesome rehearsal studio...many of the biggies rehearse there.

You never know, but you could be right...except that he was about 23 when the baby was born, not a teenager but not very old either. I just wonder if he and Sherrie were married/secretly? maybe that was the secret not worth keeping...
